***Hello and Goodbye***
To say Hello/Hi in French you can say;
Salut! (pronounced Sah lu)
This is an informal way of greeting, that can be used to great a friend or an acquaintance. It is also used to say goodbye.
In a more formal situations you can say Bonjour! to greet a stranger. And Au revoir! to say goodbye.
