Step 1 .. Choose the letter/variable to elimate, let's choose y
Step 2... Eliminate y by subtracting the equations and get
3x+2y=8

X = 8-6
X=2
Step 3.. Substitute value of x in any of the equations
3x+2y=8 ;x=2
3(2) + 2y =8
6+2y=8
2y=8-6
2y=2
Y=2/2
Y=1
Answer : x=2
:y=1
