Gaborone Technical College hosted Form 3 students from Ledumadumane Junior Sencondary School from 26-27 August 2026 . The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize and expose students to the Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes offered at the college and the requirements for admission.

The students visited various departments including Hospitality and Tourism , Electrical and Electronics , Hairdressing and Beauty Theraphy , Clothing design and Textile, ICT and Business. Departmental staff provided information on programme requirements, areas of specialization, practical skills and career opportunities.

The engagement aimed to equip students with first hand information to support informed decisions about their future studies and career pathways . Students were encouraged to consider their interests , abilities and career aspirations when selecting subjects at Senior Secondary School level , as appropriate subject choices can support their intended career paths .

The visit also contributed to promoting TVET as a credible, valuable and attractive pathway for further education ,employment and entrepreneurship.
