Every child born in Africa holds the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Yet for millions of children, access to clean water, proper sanitation, and hygiene remains a daily challenge.

As we commemorate the Day of the African Child 2026, we reflect on this year's theme: "Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa." Access to safe water and sanitation is more than a basic necessity, it is a fundamental right that supports children's health, dignity, education, and future opportunities.

Following our Mogapinyana outreach, LLC Ambassadors had the opportunity to visit BIUST where we were warmly hosted by the BIUST Living Learning Communities-BIUST LLC

The visit created a space for meaningful engagement where we connected, exchanged ideas and shared insights on leadership, impact and community initiatives. On Wednesday, 18th March, LLC Ambassadors embarked on a meaningful journey to Mogapinyana to engage with key stakeholders, including the councillor, dikgosi (chiefs), VDC representatives and the primary school headmaster, on the “Seed of Hope” project.

This initiative aims to establish a resource center that will empower and support the youth of Mogapinyana. During our visit, we had the opportunity to visit the proposed site and take the first step through site clearing.

The trip, which concluded on Saturday, marks the beginning of a shared vision, one rooted in growth, opportunity and hope for the communityđź’š
