This is the page of the Chinese Studies Programme at the University of Botswana (UB). Our aim is to offer a window on China from an African perspective. We conduct research on Botswana-China and Africa-China relations. We also offer a four-year undergraduate programme that is made up of two crucial components: Mandarin Chinese language courses and courses about the culture, history and so

ciety of China. Chinese Studies at UB is offered as a Single Major programme leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree.
