ππ¬ JMS Students Represent Botswana at ISPhO 2026! π§πΌπ
We are proud to celebrate our A Level students Carlos Rosabal and Shaamitha Boddu, who represented Botswana at the International Scientific Physics Olympiad (ISPhO) 2026, held online from 21β30 June and organised by the Russian Federation.
They were among just five students representing Botswana, competing in challenging five-hour theoretical and practical examinations covering advanced Physics concepts, including electrostatics, Fibre Bragg Gratings, the Janssen Effect and Air Showers.
π Congratulations to Carlos Rosabal, who emerged as Botswana's top-performing competitor, earning a medal and placing within the top two-thirds of competitors internationally, securing a second medal.
Both students will receive certificates, with the medals and certificates expected to arrive by the end of August.
We are immensely proud of Carlos and Shaamitha for representing JMS and Botswana on the international stage! π§πΌππ
