This is the advice I would give to unemployed young people in our communities:
The reality is, you are already unemployed. So why not use that time to change your life and the lives of others?
Register to stand as an independent councillor in your ward. Get your friends together, go door to door, listen to people’s concerns, and campaign. You don’t need massive funding, expensive billboards, or fancy offices to start. You need a vision, courage, and the willingness to serve.
And when you get to the municipality, create the opportunities you once wished someone would create for you.
Simple.
To all other young people: please support those who are willing to step up and serve their communities. We cannot keep waiting for someone else to fix things. Sometimes, the change we are looking for has to come from us.

5 DIFFICULT COURSES IN BOTSWANA
1️⃣ Medicine
The workload is intense. Long hours, constant studying, practicals, tests, pressure, and very little rest.
2️⃣ Engineering
A lot of Mathematics, Physics, problem-solving, calculations, projects, and sleepless nights 😭
3️⃣ BSc Programs (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics)
Many students underestimate these courses until they start failing tests. Consistency is EVERYTHING.
4️⃣ Law
Heavy reading, understanding cases, critical thinking, arguments, and pressure to perform academically.
5️⃣ Accounting & Finance
It looks manageable at first… until the calculations, financial statements, and pressure start building up.
But here’s the truth:
A course is only “too difficult” when:
❌ You lack discipline
❌ You procrastinate
❌ You study only before tests
❌ You suffer silently instead of asking for help
