1) Scout Investiture Ceremony
Coinciding with the visit of the PDEO for SPMS, the Scout Investiture Ceremony for Grade I students was conducted successfully. We were honoured to have the PDEO present the scout scarves to the students. The children felt proud and delighted to receive the scarves from sir's hand.
Following the investiture, the Officiating Principal and the Scout Focal Person shared the significance of the scout scarf and reminded the students to always think and work towards positive deeds for the society and Tsa-Wa-Sum and at large.
2) SPMS Meeting
During the SPMS sitting, the PDEO shared and discussed the following important points:
1) Consistency in using EduTen and CodeMonkey
2) Enhancement of scouting activities
3) Orientation on the new RomTech system
4) Conducting monthly coordination meetings to update and create awareness on the latest news and information related to education (Sherig)
5) Carrying out Action Research (AR) in schools
6) Walk-in classroom observations
7) Improvement and maintenance of WASH facilities
8) Mopping and cleaning green algae/fungus from steps and toilets to prevent students from slipping and falling
9) Focusing on children’s well-being
10) Ensuring that mess stipend is fully utilized only for mess-related purposes
11) Carrying out SBIP and follow-up activities/programmes seriously after attending workshops and trainings
According to the PDEO, school is a place where ignorance is dispelled and learning is nurtured. Educators should maintain peace of mind, clarity, and the ability to resist distractions caused by minor issues or domestic matters, as such challenges may hamper the teaching-learning process.
Therefore, before promoting children’s well-being, educators themselves must possess a sense of well-being so that they can effectively guide and monitor the well-being of their students.
