World Menstrual Hygiene Day at our school was made even more special with the installation of a free pad vending machine coordinated by our health committee.

Thank you to the boys and male teachers who celebrate and support us every year. True awareness begins when everyone stands together.

Pads should be free. Period.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Menjong Foundation and its Founder, Khenpo, for visiting our school and conducting an inspiring session on mental wellbeing.

We are deeply thankful for Khenpo la’s presence, guidance, and encouragement towards promoting awareness on mental health and wellbeing among our students and staff.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the three guest experts from Germany for their informative and engaging presentations on the importance of vitamins and minerals, physical activities, healthy lifestyles, meditation, and stress management in maintaining good mental health.

The session was truly meaningful, educational, and enriching for everyone present. Thank you for your valuable time, wisdom, and support in creating awareness about mental wellbeing. 🌿✨

Celebrating Teachers’ Day with Gratitude and Joy

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of our beloved 3rd Druk Gyalpo, we came together as a school family to honor the invaluable contributions of our teachers.

The day was filled with warmth, appreciation, and celebration as students organized a variety of heartfelt programs dedicated to their mentors. From cultural performances to words of gratitude, every gesture reflected the deep respect and admiration we hold for our teachers.

A special highlight of the celebration was the presentation of recognition awards by the management, acknowledging the dedication, passion, and tireless efforts of our teachers in shaping young minds and guiding them toward a brighter future.

It was truly a memorable day, celebrating not just educators, but the guiding lights who inspire and empower us every day.

We have successfully conducted a Group Career Guidance Session in collaboration with Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Royal Government of Bhutan, the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, under the Labour Market Information and Career Guidance Division.

The session engaged students through interactive activities including an introduction to Holland Codes (RIASEC), self-reflection exercises, and practical steps to map their ideal career paths. A fun and insightful career board game further encouraged teamwork, decision-making, and exploration of diverse career options.

We extend our sincere gratitude to MoICE and the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship for their continued support in guiding our students toward informed and meaningful career choices.

On 26th April 2026, as we commemorate the Kuechoe of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, our school solemnly observed the Annual School Rimdro along with the recitation of Jigten Wangchuk.
On this auspicious day, we offer our heartfelt prayers for the long life, good health, and continued prosperity of His Majesty The King and the Royal Family.
We also extend our sincere prayers for a successful and fulfilling year for all students and teachers across Bhutan.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Siew Lin from Malaysia to Desi High School for an inspiring session on “Rise Above: Having a Drug-Free Life” on 18th April 2026.

During the session, Dr. Siew Lin shared valuable insights on Substance Use Disorder (SuD) awareness, encouraging our students to make informed, healthy, and responsible life choices. Her engaging session created a meaningful space for reflection and learning among our students.
