His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen and Their Royal Highnesses Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel and Gyalsey Ugyen Wangchuck graced the conclusion of the Thimphu Dzongkhag Moenlam Chenmo, and offered prayers.
The Moenlam Chenmo committee, representing the people of Bhutan, offered Ku Sung Thug Mendrel to Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen to commemorate Her Majestyโs 36th Birth Anniversary.
The weeklong annual Moenlam Chenmo, held for global peace, was presided over by His Holiness The Je Khenpo.

The Prime Minister met with H.E. Shri Lakshman Acharya, Governor of Assam, and H.E. Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, at the Lok Bhavan in Guwahati yesterday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the close and enduring ties between Bhutan and Assam through enhanced friendship, cooperation, and people-to-people relations.
In the evening, the Government of Assam also hosted a Cultural Showcase and a State Banquet in honour of the Prime Minister.

Act of Honesty
The Royal Bhutan Police commends the exemplary honesty and civic responsibility demonstrated by two young students, Pema Wangmo Tamang and Tsheten Wangmo, both studying in Class III at Sherabling Primary School, Trongsa.
On 21 May 2026, at around 1430 hours, while returning home from school, the two students found a handbag lying by the roadside near Sherabling. The bag contained Nu. 4,590 along with a Citizenship Identity Card. Without hesitation, they responsibly handed the bag over to the Trongsa Police Station.
Through their honesty and integrity, the cash and documents were successfully returned to the rightful owner, Mrs. Tandin Wangmo of Baling, Langthel Gewog, Trongsa.
The Royal Bhutan Police expresses sincere appreciation to the two children for their commendable act. Their honesty, sense of responsibility, and exemplary conduct reflect the values that strengthen trust within our communities and inspire others to do the right thing.

BIG BREAKING ๐จ Royal Bhutan Police has seized counterfeit Indian Currency worth โน17.70 lakh and arrested two individuals in connection with the case in Thimphu.
The suspects, aged 36 and 37, were arrested on May 14 after allegedly attempting to use fake โน500 notes at Khasadrapchu and an STCBL fuel station. Police seized โน11.80 lakh in counterfeit notes from one suspect and โน5.89 lakh from the other. โ๏ธ

๐จ Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) has arrested four individuals in connection with 16 Chorten vandalism cases. The suspects were intercepted on May 15 while travelling in a vehicle and later reportedly confessed to vandalising chortens across Thimphu and Punakha.
Police said the accused were caught red-handed with Zi and Thro items along with the weapon allegedly used in the incidents. Investigations are continuing into similar cases reported in Paro and Dagana. Two antique dealers, aged 49 and 37, have also been arrested as suspected buyers, and several antiques were seized. โ๏ธ
