On 24th April 2026, the Association of Bhutanese Training Providers (ABTP) formally elected Mr. Jigme Dorji, Proprietor/CEO of Institute of Skills & Management Studies, as the new President/Chairperson of the Association.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Dorji served as the CEO of NetCom Bhutan Limited and also held key positions within Druk Holding & Investments Ltd Owned & Control Companies. He brings with him extensive leadership experience across both the public and private sectors.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Dorji holds multiple academic and professional qualifications and possesses significant expertise in the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector, supported by various certifications.

The newly elected Executive Committee (EC) Members include:
1. Mr. Ram Gurung – CEO of Start-up First Institute, Thimphu
2. Mr. Pema Jambay – Proprietor/CEO of CMI & KC Institute, Phuntsholing
3. Mr. Tandin Wangchuk – Director, Zomlha Institute, Thimphu
Collectively, the EC members bring a wealth of experience, strong industry linkages, and professional insight across key sectors, including Tourism & Hospitality, ICT & Management, Business & Finance, Tailoring and Fashion Design.
Their combined expertise is expected to significantly strengthen the role of ABTP in advancing skills development and promoting training excellence in Bhutan.

The Association would also like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the TVET Quality Council, Bhutan Qualifications and Professionals Certification Authority for their invaluable support in the formation of ABTP.
