29 April 2026, LMU, Germany

Two undergraduate medical (MBBS) students from the Faculty of Medicine at KGUMSB are currently undertaking an elective placement at LMU, Germany. This experience will provide them with exposure to modern teaching methodologies and advanced medical technologies, enabling the gradual adoption and integration of these practices in Bhutan.

In observance of Civil Service Wellness Day 2026, the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine organized a friendly futsal match with the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, held at the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM). The event was conducted to promote physical health, mental well-being, and collegial engagement among students.

The Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine expresses its sincere appreciation to the Faculty of Traditional Medicine for hosting the event and for their valued support in facilitating this initiative.

A team from the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan visited JSS Medical College, Mysuru, India. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn from the institution’s achievements in different healthcare services.

The students are visiting under the student exchange program established through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KGUMSB and IUHW, Japan. This exchange reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic collaboration, cultural understanding, and global medical education.
