'The Morning Sun' is a painful book based on Sonam Yanki's life written by Monu Tamang. This book reveals the dirty truth of being a girl born in a poor family. Sonam's bravery to survived the long and dark phase of her life and to have the conviction to tell the story is something to celebrate.
The book is otherwise 177 pages of suffering of a young girl in our society infested with cold and hungry men. In this rather dark book, Sir Mila Tobgay is the only ray of light. He is the only man who looked at Sonam with compassion and helped her prosper.
