Interactive Professional Workshop!

Our entire team—including Principal, teachers, ECCD facilitator, and administrative staff—joined an exciting PD session on AI Literacy and Ethics, led by our colleagues Mrs. Sonam Lhamo and Mr. Thinley Wangchuk.

Here is what we did during the workshop:
• Learned the Basics: We explored what Artificial Intelligence is and how it helps us analyze data, write content, and solve problems.
• Hands-On Practice: Teachers created 40-minute lesson plans using AI, while non-teaching staff also created a plan based on their role and task.
• Explored AI Tools: We tried out tools like Opal, WayGround, Plickers, Gemini, NotebookLM, and Canva.
• Focus on Ethics: We discussed how to use AI responsibly and established clear rules for the classroom.

We wrapped up the day with a wonderful shared lunch!

A big thank you to Mrs. Sonam Lhamo and Mr. Thinley Wangchuk for leading this important session, and to our entire team for working together to bring modern learning to our school!

🌟 Kickstarting August with Creativity, Rhythm, and Big Books! 📚🎶

On August 3rd, our Grades IV–VI students and teachers gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the season: the Inter-Unit Big Book Collaboration Song Contest!

Before the stage lit up, our Literary Coordinator reminded us of the magic behind Big Books—how combining pictures, songs, and rhythm turns reading poetry into a joyful adventure.

Each unit blew us away with their creative adaptations of iconic poems:
🌈 The Rainbow
⚓ O Captain! My Captain!
🐛 The Caterpillar
⛵ The Little Land

With custom-built giant books, original tunes, and incredible enthusiasm, our students brought these classic works to life. It wasn't just about reading poetry; it was about experiencing it through sight, sound, and teamwork. As Principal noted in the closing remarks, the aesthetic performance and sheer creativity on display were truly breathtaking!

Beyond the competition, our learners walked away with valuable lessons in perseverance, cooperation, and a deeper love for literature.

✨ A huge thank you to:
• Our Literary Coordinator & Committee for organizing such a seamless event.
• Our Judges & Observers for their insightful feedback.
• Our Unit Mentors & Participants for their immense effort and dedication.
• Our wonderful Audience for bringing the energy!

School Discipline Awareness Program!

Right after the eighth period, our Grade IV–VI students and teaching staff gathered at the MPH for an important awareness session led by Principal.
The program focused on two crucial topics:
1️⃣ Unauthorised Money: Addressing the issue of bringing money to school without consent from school or home.
2️⃣ Bullying Prevention: Emphasizing the importance of empathy, respect, and looking out for one another.

Principal reminded everyone that true peace is built on respect, safety, togetherness, and kindness—urging students to be kind, be respectful, and be a friend as we work together to create a safer, more peaceful future.

A heartfelt thank you to Principal for leading such an impactful and inspiring session for our students!

Parenting Education Program cm Term I Result Day!

The day was a resounding success as we brought our school community together to empower parents, inspire students, and build a brighter future—together!

It all began with the taking of attendance by class teachers, followed by the heartfelt recitation of Zhabten for the long life of His Majesty the King. Principal set an inspiring tone with a warm welcome, outlining the core objectives of our Parenting Education Program, declaring the Term I academic results, and sharing the 2026–2027 school mess menu and budget.

To ensure every parent received maximum value, interactive learning sessions were split into two teams and swapped after a quick tea break:
Session 1: Supporting Learning & Uniqueness
• Celebrating the uniqueness of every child and supporting learning at home.
• Digital Wellbeing: Managing screen time through healthy routines, consistent bedtimes, and modeling good habits.
• Building strong study habits through structured home timetables.
• Promoting Dzongkha: Emphasizing our national language by encouraging daily reading, writing, and storytelling at home.

Session 2: Positive Parenting, Health & Protection
• Building strong parent-child relationships through positive parenting practices.
• Healthy Student Playbook: Everyday hygiene, clean water, safe food, and handwashing as a "magic shield."
• Child Protection: Understanding child rights (UN CRC Mandala), recognizing forms of abuse/neglect, and understanding their physical, emotional, and social impacts.

By nurturing our children’s physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, we lay the groundwork for their academic success and help them grow into productive future citizens.

The program concluded with warm Suja and Shamdae, followed by parent-teacher classroom visits for individual result updates.

A Huge Thank You to all our wonderful parents for your enthusiastic participation! Heartfelt gratitude also goes to Principal, dedicated teachers, and support staff for making this event such a grand success.

Happy Parenting Education Program!
