Designing fashion that fits everyone is our mission! 🧵✨
On Sunday, April 5th, our students headed to the local handicraft market for a hands-on market analysis. This wasn’t just a shopping trip—it was a deep dive into textures, closures, and cultural aesthetics for our latest project: Tailoring for PWDs.
By studying traditional craftsmanship, our designers-in-training are learning how to blend accessibility with style. We believe fashion should be a bridge, not a barrier.
Stay tuned to see how these insights turn into inclusive designs! 👗💪

Check out our trainees in action! As part of our Tailoring for PWDs initiative, students are currently perfecting the art of the Wonju.
It’s more than just learning to sew; it’s about mastering a craft, gaining independence, and preparing for a career in the fashion industry. 👗💪
Stay tuned for the final results!

We are thrilled to officially welcome our March Batch for the Basic Tailoring training at the Institute of Advance Tailoring and Fashion Design. Today, these students take their first step toward mastering the art of garment construction and design.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Royal Government of Bhutan, specifically the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD)!
We, the Institute of Advance Tailoring and Fashion Design, are incredibly grateful and proud to announce our partnership with MoESD's Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development (DWPSD) for a very special initiative.
Under the Critical Skills Training (CST) program, and with generous funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) through the Pathway for Emerging Skills and Jobs Project (PESJP), we are launching a transformative tailoring training program for People with Disabilities (PWDs).
This project is more than just about learning to sew. For the next three months(01/03/26-31/05/26), we will be providing dedicated, practical, and fully supported tailoring training to empower Bhutanese PWDs. Our goal is simple yet profound: to equip them with the skills and confidence they need to build sustainable livelihoods, achieve financial independence, and play an active, vital role in Bhutan's growing economy.
This collaboration is a true testament to Bhutan's commitment to social inclusion, skill development, and creating opportunities for all, regardless of ability.
We are deeply honoured to have been chosen to implement this impactful project. We look forward to witnessing the incredible growth, creativity, and determination of our trainees, and to seeing the beautiful garments (and even brighter futures!) they will create.
Thank you again to all the dedicated individuals at MoESD, DWPSD, and ADB for making this possible. Let's make a real, positive difference, one stitch at a time!
