To observe the CodeMonkey week, Kuensel Phodrang PS staff and class VI students gathered at school on 02.12.21. The two ICT captains (Ugyen Dorji and Ngawang Choden) from class VI did the inaugural ceremony. Children will be doing paired programming during the coding week to further build on their coding skills. Through these children will enhance their critical and analytical thinking skills as it would involve communication and collaboration amongst them.
The school will observe the week as per the following schedule:

We would like to express our utmost regard, respect and admiration as well as gratitude towards Dasho Karma Galay, Director General, Department of School Education, for blessing us with your presence on 6 November 2021. We are grateful for the time and effort you took to share your thoughts and experiences in reviving the education system. As we are entering a new growth phase on our educational reforms, your visit to the school was very timely.
Thank you for delivering such an inspiring speech and for giving motivation to our teachers. We are deeply thankful that you could take time out for us. Your prudent words still ring in our ears and we believe that many of those who were with us that day have taken home the message that you delivered.
It was a huge honour for us to launch the book titled མི་ཚེའི་འོད་སྣང་ written by students. The book is a collection of Dzongkha Articles written by the students from class IV -VI which was initiated by Lop Tenzin Norbu and his team.

Kuensel Phodrang Primary School joins the nation in Celebrating the Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty the King. On this joyous occasion, we pray for His Majesty's well-being and Long life. Happy Coronation Day and Tashi Delek 🙏🙏🙏

Carelessness of individual wastes have created common threat to the society. This is a small intervention programme to address the small part of the problem. What if every Bhutanese uses common sense to promote waste free society?

Following the COVID - 19 protocols, this school has organized Scout Investiture Ceremony as a "Whole School Approach" involving ALL the teachers, students, Caretakers, NFE learners and Instructors.
School management thank all the organizers and participants. We also thank Mr. Dorji Wangchuk from SCED, MoE for his time to make this programme a successful one.

CodeMonkey is a fun and educational game-based environment where kids learn to code without any prior experience. Through coding children would be able to enhance their problem-solving skills, creativity, algorithmic, sequential and computational thinking skills.
We are fortunate enough to be the recipient of CodeMonkey subscription. Thank You Your Majesty for this precious gift to our children to access online resources to learn coding. We would also like to thank Ministry of Education and Department of Information and Technology (DITT) and the Royal Society for STEM (RSSTEM).
As we embark this new journey, the future looks promising and fulfilling in realizing the golden aspiration of our King and the Digital Drukyul.

Getting children involved in such community cleaning campaign can be a great way to create awareness and can lay the groundwork for the future waste-reducing education. It not only develop a sense of duties among youth but also promote clean and healthy community to keep our homes and common areas safe and clean.
The heartiest congratulations goes to class teachers and assistant teachers of classes IV to VI for coming up with such logical initiative to make local environment beautiful.
