DharmaNexus is a powerful new database that allows to explore semantically related passages between Sanskrit, Tibetan, Pāli, and Chinese literature. Multilingual semantic matching has always been one of the top priorities of the MITRA project, and enabling researchers to browse Sanskrit, Pāli, Tibetan, and Chinese texts in parallel is a long-standing goal of the project. DharmaNexus will be an important step in this direction, and it will be publicly available soon!

MITRA Search & DharmaNexus are two very significant updates that the MITRA team is preparing for public release in the coming weeks.
MITRA Search allows you to do deep, semantic searches, based on queries consisting of concepts and ideas in a large multilingual corpus of Sanskrit, Pāli, Chinese, and Tibetan sources. The screenshot shows how an abstract query about "the definition of cetanā" leads to very concrete results from scholastic literature in Sanskrit and Pāli that are giving clear definitions of this important term. This is going to be a significant tool for the research on Buddhist literature across traditions.
