The Little Sparks of Nazhoen Pelri School, YDF, made beautiful memories from their visit to the Ecological Park today in celebration of the Earth Day ,2026.
They discussed the
importance of caring for the environment for their Mother Earth!
They connected learning to real life by understanding how their local environment : the Ecological Park ,is so very important and their green promises to conserve it! A huge Thank You to Bhutan Trust Fund and Thimphu Thromde for this beautiful gift!

After a month and a half talking about Climate Change and in the last 2 weeks the 3 R's "Recycling, Reducing and Reusing", the Little Sparks of Class 3 of Nazhoen Pelri School, YDF, got to see where all the waste goes and how it's sorted.
During the visit they made :

- A Promise- to reuse, donate or recycle ♻️ clothes, shoes and books that they don't need.

The children were VERY surprised at how much waste is delivered to the Waste Management site every day (3-4 tons).

They have been making new things out of 2nd hand things and one child, looking at the mixed waste, said:
"Madam, we could make something out of that old gho!!"

So they've learnt to look at so-called trash as something they can resuse!

Forest School at Ludrong Park 🌿✨The Littlest Sparks of Nazhoen Pelri School had
a joyful day of exploration and hands-on learning, where every child experienced the wonders of nature with excitement and curiosity. Through outdoor activities, students built confidence and independence, learned to work together, and developed resilience while enjoying a safe and meaningful learning environment.

An experience that helped the NPS researchers to explore place based education strategies of bringing community to the classrooms, and also to evaluate our resilience, endurance and health on this 16 kms, 30345 steps walk on the Trans Bhutan Trail Walk on 11.04. 26, from Thinleygang to Punakha. It was an experience of bonding and connection!

This week, we’re embracing the season of renewal with a full school spring cleaning! Students and staff are working together to create a cleaner, more organized, and positive learning environment.

From sorting supplies to refreshing our shared spaces, every effort makes a difference. A clean school supports focus, pride, and respect for our community.

What an eventful Friday today to end the beautiful week!! The Inter Class for Junior and Mixed class team for Senior Futsal Tournament ,2026,met with resounding success with full support of the cheering grandparents, parents and relatives! The exhibition match between the school facilitators and the parents added more cheers to the tournament! Congratulations to each student who made the tournament alive and fun!!!

We still need few more teacher aides and shadow teachers ! ! So please apply !

The Investiture Ceremony of the School Council, of the prestigious Nazhoen Pelri School, YDF, held on 19th March, was a vibrant and inspiring occasion that marked the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership. The event celebrated the appointment of young leaders , who were elected by the students of classes 2 to 7 and staff,who are ready to take on responsibilities with pride, integrity, and commitment.

Dressed smartly and wearing their badges with honour, the newly elected council members took their oath, pledging to uphold the values of the school and serve as role models for their peers. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a strong sense of purpose as students, teachers, and guests witnessed this important milestone.

The ceremony not only recognized leadership but also encouraged all students to aspire to lead with confidence, teamwork, and dedication. It was truly a memorable event that set a positive tone for the year ahead.Good luck to the NPS Student Council of 2026!
