This year the Royal Thimphu College in collaboration with the Handicrafts Association of Bhutan is conducting an advocacy program with the theme “Young Minds, Bold Ideas: Promoting Handicrafts Sector in Bhutan”. The objective for this advocacy program is to highlight the challenges faced by entrepreneurs who are working in the handicrafts sector. It also aims to inspire and promote entrepreneurship in handicrafts among the youth of Bhutan. The advocacy campaign will culminate on 9th June, 2023 with multiple stakeholders coming together for an event featuring Exhibitions, Storytelling Sessions, Panel Discussion, and visual screenings. The objective of this program is to inspire, promote and motivate young minds about the future prospects of local handicrafts in the business sector and target potential handicraft consumers in the international market.

The Third Year Communication Arts and Creative Media students attended a special lecture by Ms. Regita Gurung on Gender and Queerness for IDAHOT.

It was a very important lecture to help the students look at themselves and the performance they put on based on Judith Butler’s study of gender, queerness and intersectionality.

Your online posts are a reflection of your character; therefore, it's crucial to think before you share, ensuring humor doesn't come at someone else's expense. Choosing respect over ridicule demonstrates true integrity in the digital space.

Cyberbullying in Bhutan often hides behind screens and silence. It’s not just happening somewhere else—it’s happening here, to students, friends, and even strangers we scroll past.

Let’s choose empathy over mockery, courage over silence, and create a space where we all feel safe online.

Constant comparison to curated celebrity images and perceived successes online can lead to feelings of inadequacy and unhappiness. It's important to foster self-acceptance and focus on personal well-being rather than external validation.
