Today, Gongthung MSS vibrated with patriotism as we celebrated the 118th National Day. This day, December 17, marks the historic 1907 coronation of Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck as the first hereditary King, a moment that brought lasting peace and unity to Bhutan.
โThe celebration is vital as it reinforces our identity as "One Nation, One People." It is a day to offer our deepest gratitude to the Wangchuck Dynasty for their selfless leadership. For our students, it is an occasion to reflect on our sovereignty and the values of Tha Damtsi (loyalty and integrity).
By celebrating today, we renew our pledge to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with unwavering dedication.

Celebrating the Milestone
โThe celebration of Class X farewell and graduation events is crucial for several reasons, starting with validation. These ceremonies provide formal recognition for years of hard work, affirming students' academic achievements and boosting their self-esteem, which is essential for future success. This public acknowledgment also inspires younger students, reinforcing the schoolโs value of educational commitment.
โPsychologically, farewells offer vital emotional closure. They allow students to consciously process the transition, say meaningful goodbyes to friends and mentors, and leave their established routines with a sense of completeness. This ritualistic ending prevents an abrupt separation, acting as a sturdy bridge to the next phase of their lives. Furthermore, by gathering the community, these events strengthen the bonds between students, faculty, and parents, cementing the school as a supportive foundation from which the graduates can confidently launch their futures.
