Its has been long time without any updates. Hope all are safe. Let's start 2021 with new hope hope having more fun and engagement programs both face to face and virtually considering the pandemic situation.
The center had been closed and could not offer our service and facilities for entertainment and engagement.
Our center is now open following all safety protocols and those youths who wishes to visit center can take note of following
1. Registration is mandatory
2. Wash hands before you avail any services and facilities in the center
3. Facemask is mandatory to all visitors
4. Scan druktrace QR code if you are using smart phones
5. Maximum of 16 youths can visit at a time considering social distance
Note: Only youths of age 13 years an above can visit and no children below 13 years will be entertained this time considering the covid protocols.
Visit us if you feel bored, we will facilitate library facilities, indoor games ( table tennis and carrom) and internet facilities.

Trashigang Youth Center
The center caters services to the everyone especially to youth (Both in and out of school youths) It is located upper part of the town under Samkhar Geowg.
Trashigang Youth Center was established in the year 2010 with mission to carter the services and support the young youth group of Eastern Bhutan. It also has Youth Volunteer group which was established in 2013 with 11 volunteers. The center gives following services throughout the week. Internet, Library, TV Viewing, Indoor games, besides printing, photocopying, lamination and spiral binding at the minimal cost.

Youth forum addressing on Mental Health and Wellbeing during this pandamic. Hope this program will help our youths to cope up with all the mental related issues.
They also attended a session on Media Literacy in the afternoon. Through this we are hopeful that our youths have better idea on media Literacy and now they are media literate.
So thank you Mrs. Dupchu Zangmo, Counselor, Tashigang MSS and Mr. Nima Dorji, Teacher, Tashigang MSS for facilitating the program.

Sensitization program for youth center volunteers on COVID-19 Safety protocols. 33 youth volunteers attended program and they will practice themselves and also reach back their home and schools with their friends.
We would like to thank COVID-19 focal from Tashigang General Hospital for technical support and UNICEF for funding the program.

The Human Resource and Skills Development Division (HRSDD), Department of Employment and Human Resources (DoEHR), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) is pleased to announce the availability of Critical Skills Training in 5 training areas as follows. The training duration ranges from 3 to 6 months.
Interested job seekers may apply directly to the following Training Institutes.
The training will be implemented in partnership with registered Private Training Providers. It is a fully funded training under the GoI PTA Project. A stipend of Nu. 1500/- will be provided during the entire training period.
The interested applicants/individuals must meet the following criteria:
1. Be registered as job seekers;
2. Have valid security clearance certificate;
3. Have valid Citizenship Identity card (CID);
4. Have minimum qualification of class X;
5. Must be 18 to 29 years at the time of application deadline;
6. The selected candidates must successfully complete the training
Preference will be given to:
First to those who have not have availed any other program supported by MoLHR in the past (with the exception of University Graduates Internship Program and Pre-Employment Engagement Program);
Last to those who have availed other MoLHR programs in the past but are currently unemployed.
Kindly register and submit the application to respective Institutes latest by 31st August 2020 before 4:00 PM. After closure of schools due to COVID 19 pandemic, the education system introduced online classes. All our school going children did not an opportunity for user education of gadgets and online safety and security. This has literally put them into increased risk of online harms (such as cyberbullying, developing of unhealthy digital relationship, online addictions, etc). There are many advantages of online activities but risk was not an exception. In order to address all this likely issues and to empower adolescents and youth with right kind of knowledge, skills and attitude to learn with digital tools and to avoid misusing of learning opportunities, a week long online training on 'Digital Citizenship Education' was organized with supported from UNICEF Bhutan through Youth Center Division, DYS, MoE, successfully concluded on 7th June, 2020. We covered following training components:
1. Media Balance and Wellbeing,
2. Digital Privacy and Security,
3. Digital footprints and identity,
4. Relationship and Communication,
5. Cyberbullying, Digital Drama, and
Hate Speech,
6. News and Media Literacy.
A total of 63 adolescents and youth from Trashiyangtse and Trashigang Dzongkhags participated in our online training programs (via Google Meet App) from 30th May - 7th June 2020.
Participants shared that the program was timely and useful. Thank you YCD, DYS, MoE and UNICEF Bhutan for supporting the program. Thank you all participants for your valuable time.

This is to inform youths from 3 dzongkhag (Lhuntsi, trashiyangtse and Trashigang) to register for online training on Digital Citizenship Education. The training will start from 30May, 2020. It will for duration six days and have training for 90 minutes daily.
At the end of the training you will be awarded with certificate of participation. More over you will be getting 99 data package recharge each session. However you must fulfill following criteria
1. Age range of 13 to 18 years
2. Must be from 3 dzongkhag mentioned as other dzongkhags will be done by other youth centers.
3. Must be genuely interested to attend with 100% attendance

1. Trashigang - 50 (25 male & 25 female)
2. Lhuntse -25 ( 12 male & 13 females)
3. Trashiyangtse -25 (13 male & 12 female).
Register using the google form and it will be based on first come first. For Trashigang preference will be given to volunteers.

First coordination meeting amongst youth center volunteers and youth center management was successfully conducted today. Besides bonding session we have also disscussed on following
1. Failure of youth center management in reaching the youth center volunteers
2. Some of the follow activities to attract youth center volunteers
3. Planned the activity calender for 2020.
Through this program we also expect to develop the better interaction amongst youth center volunteers, between youth center management and volunteers and also to increase visibility of center through newly joined volunteer.
