EARTHQUAKE MOCK DRILL 2026

Sarpang Middle Secondary School successfully conducted an Earthquake Mock Drill to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen the safety awareness of our students and staff.

The drill provided students with hands-on practice in “Drop, Cover and Hold On”, followed by a safe and orderly evacuation to the designated assembly area. Teachers and staff also carried out attendance checks and emergency response procedures.

The activity aimed to:
✅ Promote awareness of earthquake safety
✅ Practise appropriate emergency response procedures
✅ Strengthen coordination and teamwork
✅ Familiarize students with evacuation routes and assembly points
✅ Build confidence and preparedness for possible emergencies.

Such drills are important in developing a safe, prepared and resilient school community.

ANNUAL SCOUT HIKE 2026

On 19 September 2026, Sarpang MSS successfully conducted the Annual Scout Hike, bringing together 611 student scouts from Classes IV to X and 46 adult scouts.
The hike provided an excellent opportunity for our scouts to step beyond the classroom and learn through experience, teamwork and adventure.

Key Objectives:
•Develop teamwork and leadership skills
•Promote physical fitness and endurance
•Learn basic survival skills and environmental awareness
•Foster appreciation for nature and local culture.

Through this meaningful outdoor activity, our scouts strengthened their spirit of teamwork, resilience, responsibility and appreciation for the natural environment.

Kudos to all the scouts, staff and everyone involved in making the Annual Scout Hike 2026 a meaningful and memorable experience.

With heartfelt gratitude, we bid farewell to Lopen Khenpo Tshering Dhendup after more than three years of dedicated service to our school.

During his time with us, Lopen Khenpo made a meaningful contribution to the school through his guidance and dedicated efforts in promoting spiritual and religious programmes. His wisdom, compassion, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our students and staff.
