On 15th April, JNEC Rover Scouts along with Dewathang Primary School conducted a mobile camp. The mission was to help young children learn discipline and order. A total of more than 200 students from both organizations took part in the program.
The program was divided into three stations. These included yell practice, drill sessions, and rope work. Each activity helped students build confidence, teamwork, and coordination while enjoying the spirit of scouting.
Scouting is about learning by doing. It teaches leadership, responsibility, cooperation, and service. Rope work helped students develop practical skills and problem solving ability while learning patience and focus. Drill sessions improved discipline and coordination as students learned to follow instructions and move in unity. Yell practice built confidence and team spirit by encouraging students to express themselves and feel a sense of belonging.
The day was filled with energy, excitement, and smiles, making the camp meaningful and memorable.

We sincerely thank Dewathang Primary School for their support and cooperation in making this program a success.

On 7th March 2026, the combined clubs of Rovers, GNH and BRCS embarked on a meaningful and significant journey of community service. Around 52 members took part in the activity. We were divided into three groups so that we could cover different places. One group headed to the local temple, Singye Choling Monastery, another group worked around the town area, and the third group went to another nearby temple (Choekeyi Jatsho) to carry out cleaning activities.

It turned out to be a very memorable and rewarding experience. Members from different clubs were mixed together, which gave everyone the chance to interact and work as one team. While cleaning and serving the community, we also shared stories, laughter, and ideas. Through this activity we not only contributed to keeping the environment clean and respected sacred places, but we also built new friendships and strengthened the bond between our clubs. It truly reflected the spirit of unity, service, and teamwork. Jigme Namgyel Engineering College Bhutan Scouts Association The Rovers of Bhutan

Today, the team of JNEC Rover Scouts had the privilege of joining a community service for the construction of the Lhakhang at Garpong. Five of us participated with great enthusiasm and sincere dedication, gladly accepting the opportunity to serve. Though the work was physically challenging, we gave our best efforts in preparing the floor of the Lhakhang, united by teamwork and a shared spirit of service.

It was truly an honor to place the interest of the community above ourselves. As Scouts, we believe in serving others before self, a value that guides our actions and shapes our character. Contributing to the construction of a sacred place is not only an act of service but also a meaningful way to support nation-building and strengthen our sense of responsibility. According to our Bhutanese belief, taking part in such sacred work helps accumulate merit and brings blessings for the present and future.

The day was made even more special by the warm hospitality of the community, who kindly provided us with refreshments and a delicious lunch. With grateful hearts and tired hands, we return inspired. And we are reminded that true leadership begins with humble service.

A Personal Message to the World-on-World Kindness Day
Hello, beautiful world!
As a student of Multimedia and Animation, I’ve learned that every frame, every color, every sound can tell a story and so can every act of kindness. Today, on World Kindness Day, I want to share a story from my heart, a story about love, compassion, and the power of small gestures to create ripples that change the world.
In the world we live in, it’s easy to get caught up in deadlines, screens, and deadlines again. But just like in animation, where the smallest movement can bring a character to life, the smallest act of kindness can bring light to someone’s day. A smile, a word of encouragement, a helping hand these are the frames that build the story of a better world.
I dream of a world where we lift each other up instead of tearing each other down; where empathy is our language and love is our action. Kindness doesn’t have to be grand—it lives in the small, everyday moments that show we care, that we see each other, that we are all connected.
And just like we animate stories, we can animate positivity in life. Let’s also be kind to ourselves embracing our mistakes, celebrating our creativity, and nurturing our own hearts. Only then can we truly share love and compassion with others.
So today, I invite everyone, from the depth of my heart, to be the light in someone’s darkness, the hope in someone’s despair, and the love that reminds the world of its beauty. Together, even the smallest acts of kindness can create a world filled with warmth, understanding, and joy a world where every heart feel seen and valued.
From me, a Multimedia and Animation student, to the world: love more, forgive often, speak kindly, act gently, and never underestimate the power of your heart.

World Kindness Day Message:

I’ve discovered that kindness doesn’t require doing something heroic; it requires being honest. I believe it’s the little moments that truly matter — asking the quiet person how they are, offering a bit of your own warmth, or listening without hurrying to respond.

Kindness can be challenging; it might mean waiting patiently when you’re tired, or showing understanding when you yourself are hurt. These moments help the heart grow stronger.

The world doesn’t need more perfect people; it needs more gentle ones — those who care, forgive, and notice others. On this World Kindness Day, I hope we can all be a little kinder and gentler, both to others and to ourselves.

Kindness is what connects us and reminds us of our shared humanity. That is, in my view, one of the most beautiful and powerful things in life.

On 21st September 2025, the JNEC Rover unit joined hands in promoting peace within the campus, marking the International Day of Peace with meaningful activities. The event saw the participation of more than 200 enthusiastic students, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and harmony.

The day began at 7:00 AM with the lighting of a butter lamp and the chanting of Marmoe Malem by all the rovers. This simple yet profound offering symbolized the scouts’ respect for culture, tradition, and faith. After a short two-hour break, the main program commenced at 9:00 AM. Participants were first briefed on the rules and regulations, and by 9:20 AM, the program unfolded in full spirit.

The highlights of the event include the running Messenger of Peace module, which was carried out in six interactive stations:

1. Presentation on the History of Scouting – introducing participants to the roots and values of the movement.
2. Creating SDGs Accounts – connecting young minds with the global development agenda.
3. MOP Network Game – fostering teamwork and collaboration.
4. Wish Tree – allowing students to express their hopes and commitments toward peace.
5. MOP Dance – blending joy, rhythm, and unity.
6. Alele Yell – energizing the participants with the spirit of scouting.

A whistle was blown every 20 minutes to guide the groups in rotating between stations, ensuring that everyone experienced all six activities. Student participation was marked by genuine enthusiasm and curiosity, with many even expressing interest in joining the scout movement after the event.

The day was not just a celebration but also a reflection of collective commitment. Through these simple yet impactful activities, the JNEC Rover Unit successfully fostered a spirit of peace, harmony, and togetherness within the campus community.

On 23rd August 2025, 38 dedicated members of the JNEC Rover Unit embarked on a rewarding hike to Rekhey. we started our journey at 11 am and returned by 9 pm.

The journey presented physical challenges, but it was equally rich in moments of camaraderie, learning, and personal growth. Participants engaged in a friendly cooking competition (made possible through the generous donation of rice by our Club Advisor) and strengthened their communication and teamwork skills throughout the day.

While academic obligations remained, this experience offered invaluable opportunities beyond the classroom to develop resilience, leadership, and cooperation. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to making the day successful, and we look forward to continuing this spirit of adventure and growth together.

Happy International Youth Day (12th august 2025.)
"The future of the nation is in the hands of the younger generation".
As a simple token from the family of JNEC rovers we would gladly celebrate the occasion with pride. Go after your dreams, love your nation. Because we are the future.

Poem line.
Nation rise, nations fall, from the ancient time,
Glories from the past fade to none,
A Victorious nations become mere legends.
Who shapes those things?
The youth play a vital role,
Yet they could not defend.

But at every dawn, a chance is born,
New hands to build, new hearts to warn.
From ashes cold, new flames will glow,
When courage in the young will flow.

The rivers carve the mountain’s side,
And hope will flow like an endless tide.
The sun will shine where shadows fade,
When dreams take root in the plans we’ve made.

So write your name upon the sky,
Let every doubt and shadow fly.
For in your heart, the power stays,
To build the world in brighter days.

History awaits for those who dare,
To lift the weak, to mend and to care.
A single voice, a single hand,
Can heal a wound, can change the land.
