𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲

The school joined the global community in celebrating International Youth Day 2026 under the theme “𝑫𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒔, 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.” The celebration was organised by the school’s Y-VIA in collaboration with UNESCO and the Well-being Programme.

The programme began with an inspiring address by the Vice Principal Rinchen Wangdi followed by a special presentation by Choechay Yeshi Choden, a member of Y-VIA. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark the special occasion.

The celebration provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and skills. The youth enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, including singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, rap performance, Rubik’s Cube solving, and solving mathematics problems. A short open quiz was also conducted, adding fun and excitement to the event.

The programme was well organised and created a lively, joyful, and inclusive atmosphere. It gave students an opportunity to express themselves, celebrate their talents, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

The celebration beautifully captured the spirit of International Youth Day by recognising the creativity, potential, and aspirations of young students, while reminding us that despite our different backgrounds and circumstances, we share common hopes and aspirations for a brighter future.

**A Note of Gratitude**

With profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation, the school extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Kinley Tshering, Mr. Karma Rangdrel, and Mr. Jigme Tenzin of BPCL, Samdrup Jongkhar, for their generous donation of four copies of the Dzongkha book, ཨ་ཙ་ར་བཙན་་རྒྱས། Authored by Mr.Leki Tenzin, to our school library.

Nurturing Future Leaders Through Democratic Values

With immense pride and joy, the school successfully concluded the election of its Vice Captains, who will take on the prestigious role of full Captains in 2027. Reflecting the true spirit of democracy, the entire election process was conducted with transparency and fairness, beginning with nominations by students and teachers, followed by candidate campaigns and the final voting through an online election system.
Today, the school proudly honored the newly elected Vice Captains with Khadar and conducted the Oath Taking Ceremony, formally entrusting them with their leadership responsibilities. This moment marks not just the beginning of their leadership journey, but also a commitment to serve with humility, integrity, and dedication.
As future leaders of the school, they are entrusted with the responsibility to inspire their peers, uphold the values of the school, and lead by example. The school wishes them wisdom, courage, and strength as they prepare to carry forward the legacy of leadership in 2027.

Fare Thee Well!
The school community extends its heartfelt farewell to Mr. Singye Jamtsho as he departs on voluntary resignation before his contract term ends. His dedication, commitment, and contributions to the school will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
The students and staff will truly miss his presence and wish him every success, happiness, and fulfillment in all his future endeavors. May this new chapter of his life bring abundant opportunities, good health, and continued achievements. We thank him for his invaluable service and wish him the very best in the journey ahead.

Second Parent–Teacher Meeting: "Strengthens Home–School Partnership."
The Second Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) was successfully convened with the participation of parents, School Management Board (SMB) members and teachers. The programme commenced with a Zhabten offered for the long life and continued good health of His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo, the Fifth King, seeking His Majesty's blessings for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the nation.
The meeting formally introduced the new staff and the School Management Board (SMB) members, enabling parents to become acquainted with the individuals entrusted with supporting their children's learning and the overall development of the school.
A comprehensive presentation on the overall academic performance of Term I was delivered, highlighting students' achievements and trends across different classes. Students who excelled academically were recognized and applauded during the toppers' declaration, inspiring all learners to strive for greater excellence.
Head of the Department (HOD), presented the major learning challenges encountered during Term I, along with practical strategies and interventions planned to address these concerns in the coming months. The school counsellor also shared a Situational Analysis Report, providing valuable insights into students' academic, behavioural, and emotional well-being, while emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between parents and the school.
The meeting further included a presentation on parents' financial contributions and the utilization of these funds. Parents were then invited to an open discussion, during which they expressed concerns and sought clarifications regarding the financial contributions. The school administration acknowledged these concerns and informed the gathering that a detailed breakdown and comprehensive explanation of all financial contributions would be presented through the resolutions of the School Management Board (SMB) meeting, which will subsequently be shared with all parents through the respective parent communication groups.
Parents were also provided with an overview of the major school programmes and activities successfully implemented during Term I, reflecting the school's continued commitment to holistic student development.
The meeting concluded with classroom-based interactions, where parents got to know their children's academic results directly from class teachers. Individual learning challenges, areas requiring improvement, and strategies for providing support both at school and at home were discussed, reinforcing the shared responsibility of parents and teachers in nurturing every child's academic success and overall well-being.
