Selection Interview for the 4th Nachung Leadership Training 2026 (Class V) which would take place Primary School, Ngangla, Zhemgang during the winter break.

A total of five active Nachung Scouts took part in the school-level selection interview. To represent the school at the upcoming Dzongkhag (District) level screening, one male candidate and one female candidate has been selected submitted to the DSA.

The school observed Reading Week under the theme: “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace.”

The initiative aimed to cultivate a lifelong reading habit, celebrate linguistic diversity, and foster a culture of respect and mutual understanding. Daily activities and competitions took place during morning assemblies and after class sessions, encouraging students to explore a wide range of age-appropriate texts. These sessions provided opportunities for independent reading, vocabulary expansion, and creative expressions.

The week concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing competition winners for their effort and active participation. Overall, the event successfully strengthened the school's reading culture and inspired students to embrace reading as a rewarding habit.

International Peace Day (21.09.2026)

Ugyentse Primary School joined the world in celebrating "International Day of Peace" under the theme: "Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day." Speech on importance and significance of the day was delivered by Reeyana Tamang (School Captain).

To mark the occasion, the school organized a "Peace Marathon" with messages on Peace Actions.

Winners were honored with certificates, and the event concluded with an energetic aerobic dance session.

Ugyentse Primary School had the honor of welcoming Dasho Dzongda of Samtse Dzongkhag for an official visit to the school.

In his address, Dasho highlighted the importance of academic excellence, the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and modern technology, and the importance of fostering responsible global citizenship anchored in traditional Bhutanese culture and values. He underscored the necessity of teamwork and collaboration among staff to cultivate a supportive and successful educational environment, while expressing deep appreciation and concern for educators serving in remote areas.

Engaging directly with the students, Dasho encouraged them to pursue their ambitions dedicatedly and prepare themselves for meaningful service to the nation.

The school extends its sincere gratitude to Dasho Dzongda and the accompanying Dzongkhag officials for their visit, inspiring guidance and support.
