Last year, Bhutan suffered devastating forest fires across many dzongkhags. A result of carelessness, negligence, and lack of awareness.
Our forests are more than trees; they are our water source, our air filter, our climate protector, and home to countless species.

Forest fires are one of the most significant and recurring threats in Bhutan, especially during the dry season from November to May each year. Between 2015 and May 2025, the Department of Forests and Park Services (DoFPS) recorded ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ซ๐ž ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ that damaged about ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘,๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ” ๐ก๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ of forest. In just the first five months of 2025, 54 fires incidents destroyed around 9,604 acres of forest land.
๏ฟฝOne small spark can destroy all of that in seconds.

As we enter the dry season, letโ€™s act before itโ€™s too late.

โœ… Avoid any form of open burning

โœ… Be cautious during hikes, picnics, and outdoor work

โœ… Report fires or smoke immediately

โœ… Educate your community, friends, and families

๐Ÿ’ฅ To all students and youth โ€” your voice matters.๏ฟฝUse your power to raise awareness in your schools, colleges, and online.๏ฟฝBe leaders in protecting our environment.
๐Ÿ›‘ Forest fire prevention is not just the governmentโ€™s job โ€” Itโ€™s yours, mine, and every Bhutanese citizenโ€™s responsibility.

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ… International Tigers Day ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒ
Letโ€™s roar louder for our striped warriors! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ“Š Tiger Population Stats:
๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡น Bhutan: 131
๐ŸŒ Globally: 5,711

These numbers may seem small, but their impact on the ๐ŸŒฒ ecosystem is HUGE!

๐ŸŒฟ Why Tigers Matter:
๐Ÿงฌ Tigers are apex predators ๐Ÿ…โ€”they keep prey populations in balance.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Their presence helps maintain the health of our forests ๐ŸŒณ by preventing overgrazing.
๐Ÿ’ง Healthy forests = clean rivers ๐ŸŒŠ, fresh air ๐Ÿ’จ, and rich biodiversity ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒผ.
๐Ÿงญ Saving Tigers = protecting entire ecosystems! ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿฆบ Letโ€™s protect them before they disappear into myths and memories.
๐Ÿ“ธ Share, support, and speak up for tiger conservation! ๐Ÿ…โœจ
