This is to remind all graduates of the College of Natural Resources, Cohort of 2025 that the 17th Convocation Ceremony will be held on 17th June 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall, Royal Institute of Management, Simtokha, Thimphu.
Registration:
- Online registration is required to confirm participation.
- Portal open: 1st May โ 23rd May 2026.
- Please register within the given timeframe.

The College of Natural Resources, Lobesa, Punakha is pleased to announce the CNR Deki Longchoed Cup 2026, an open football tournament aimed at promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and the spirit of the game.
We warmly invite all interested teams to register and be part of this exciting tournament.

Ms. Tshering Lhamo
As the term for the 4th Batch of CETA concludes, we honor the dedicated service and contributions of Ms. Tshering Lhamo, a final-year BSc. Environment and Climate Studies student. Tshering has been a proactive advocate for student welfare, focused on improving the daily living experience at CNR.
Ms. Tshering Lhamo brought a strong background in leadership and media coordination to this role. Having served as a Druk House Vice-Captain and a Democratic Club Captain in earlier years, she developed the diplomacy and initiative needed to handle complex resident issues. Her recent experience as the Media Coordinator of the EGB Club further enhanced her ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the student body.
Throughout her tenure as Residence Councilor, she has:
1. Served with honesty and dedication, prioritizing the well-being and basic needs of all residential students.
2. Championed accessibility initiatives, including the provision of sanitary products for emergencies, ensuring a supportive environment for female residents
3. Worked toward optimizing student time by advocating for better scheduling of SUPW duties, allowing students to focus more on their weekend studies.
4. Pushed for faster maintenance responses for essential services like water, electricity, and internet connectivity.
5. Proposed the conversion of underused spaces into dedicated study halls to provide residents with quiet areas for academic focus.
6. Collaborated with the SSOs to monitor the safety and upkeep of the hostels, ensuring a reliable and safe home for all.
CETA is privileged to have been served by such an approachable and solution-oriented leader. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Ms. Tshering Lhamo for her commitment to her motto,"Your Trust, My Promise!",and for her tireless work in enhancing the CNR residential experience.

On 11th April 2026, the college successfully facilitated participation in the โEmpowering Youth for Policy Advocacy: Strengthening Civil Societyโs Role in Shaping Education and Gender Policiesโ program organized by the Organization for Youth Empowerment (OYE). The program also highlighted the importance of raising issues and actively taking part in decision-making processes, encouraging youth to become more responsible and engaged citizens.
Representatives from various clubs, comprising 12 members each, came together for the face-to-face workshop. The session featured interactive discussions on policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement, fostering meaningful participation in shaping education and gender policies.

Mr. ChagDor KelZang
As the term for the 4th Batch of CETA concludes, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Chador Kezang, a final-year BSc. Organic Agriculture student, for his steadfast service as Residence Councilor.
Mr. Chador Kezang stepped into this role with a long and distinguished history of student leadership. From his early years as a Class Captain and Prayer Captain, to serving as a Collaborative Group Prefect in high school and a Class Representative (CR) during his first year at CNR, he has consistently demonstrated a "service-first" mindset. Furthermore, as a De-suup, he brought the values of discipline and national service to his leadership within the college.
Throughout his tenure as Residence Councilor, he has:
1. Served the student body with total dedication, acting as a reliable voice for residents' needs and concerns.
2. Assisted the SSOs in maintaining hostel facilities and ensuring that residents had access to necessary services.
3. Helped manage the allocation of rooms and resources to ensure a fair and organized living environment.
4. Applied his background in volunteer service to monitor the safety of the hostel and report any issues requiring administrative attention.
5. Worked to uphold hygiene protocols in common areas, ensuring a healthy environment for all students.
6. Maintained a harmonious atmosphere within the block by encouraging mutual respect and adherence to college regulations.
CETA CNR is privileged to have been served by a leader as committed and experienced as Mr. Chador Kezang. His unwavering commitment and quiet dedication have left a lasting positive impact on the residential life at the College of Natural Resources.

Tandin Tsewang
As the term for the 4th Batch of CETA concludes, we honor the dedicated service and contributions of Mr. Tandin Tshewang, a final-year BSc. Food Science and Technology student. Tandin has been an instrumental leader in enhancing the living standards and welfare of the CNR residential community.
Mr. Tandin Tshewang brought years of proven leadership to this role, having served as a Class Representative (CR) for consecutive years throughout high school and during his time at the college. His experience in student governance allowed him to effectively bridge the gap between residents and the administration.
As the Residence Councilor, he has:
1. Infrastructure & Maintenance: Conducted regular inspections and facilitated the repair of vital hostel facilities, including lighting, fans, and water supply.
2. Sanitation Excellence: Spearheaded improved cleanliness in washrooms and common areas by implementing rigorous sanitation measures.
3. Academic Environment: Worked toward upgrading study areas with better lighting and enhanced Wi-Fi access to support student learning.
4. Student Well-being: Promoted a conducive learning atmosphere by designating quiet zones for studying without disturbances.
5. Waste Management: Initiated proper waste segregation and recycling programs within the hostel to promote sustainability.
6. Eco-Friendly Initiatives: Championed green practices, including the reduction of plastic waste and the organization of community clean-up drives.
7. Resident Support: Assisted the SSOs in facility monitoring and ensured that all block records were accurately maintained and submitted.

As the current term for the 4th Batch of CETA winds down, we extend our sincere recognition to the contributions of Mr. Chenga Dawa, who has served as the Residence Councilor under CETA.
The Residence Councilor serves as a vital student advocate, representing the needs of their hostel block and ensuring a safe, hygienic, and well-managed residential environment through close collaboration with the Student Services Officers (SSOs).
Mr. Chenga Dawa, a final-year BSc. Organic Agriculture student, brought a wealth of leadership experience to this role. Having previously served as the Class Representative (CR) and the Secretary of the Entrepreneurship Club, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to listen to diverse opinions and speak up for his peers' needs. His background as a Mess Coordinator further equipped him with the organizational and communication skills necessary to manage complex residential logistics.
