Our school observed National Earthquake Mock Drill Day to strengthen earthquake preparedness, awareness, and safety among our students and staff. The drill provided an opportunity to practise safe evacuation procedures, understand appropriate responses during an earthquake, and reinforce the importance of staying calm and prepared during emergencies.

Through such practical exercises, we aim to build a culture of preparedness, resilience, and collective responsibility, ensuring that everyone knows what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.

📚✨ 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✨📚

Our school celebrated Literary Week with enthusiasm and active participation from students across Grades PP–X. The programme was conducted in both English and Dzongkha, featuring a variety of engaging activities including Declamation, Poetry Recitation, Extempore Speech, Book Review, Readers’ Theatre, Tsangmo, and Nursery Rhymes.

The week provided students with opportunities to express themselves, build confidence, enhance communication skills, develop creativity, and nurture a love for reading and literature. It also served as a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talents and appreciate both languages and our rich literary traditions.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Literary Club Coordinators and all the club members for their dedication, coordination, and hard work in making the Literary Week meaningful and successful. 🙏📚

A week filled with words, voices, creativity, confidence, and the joy of learning! 🌸📖🎤🎭

𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥

It was a distinct honour and privilege for Logchina Middle Secondary School to receive His Excellency Sangay Dorji, the Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Council, during His Excellency’s constituency visit.

His Excellency graciously took the time to interact with the students and staff of the school and expressed His Excellency’s happiness at meeting and engaging with the school community. The interaction provided a meaningful opportunity for our students and staff to receive valuable insights, guidance, and words of encouragement from His Excellency.

During the interaction, His Excellency shared the significance of the 5 Cs — Certificates, Credentials, Commitment, Communication, and Character, drawing inspiration from the profound vision and addresses of His Majesty the King.

His Excellency further highlighted the significance of Gelephu Mindfulness City and its potential in shaping a progressive, sustainable, and future-ready Bhutan.

His Excellency also expressed appreciation to the staff and students for their continued hard work, commitment, and collective efforts in fulfilling their responsibilities and serving Tsa-Wa-Sum with dedication and sincerity.

The school family extends our deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency for honouring us with His Excellency’s gracious presence and for sharing such meaningful guidance and inspiration with our students and staff.

We remain deeply honoured by His Excellency’s visit and inspired by the shared vision of building a stronger, resilient, and enlightened Bhutan.

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. 𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

We observed World Su***de Prevention Day by spreading awareness and making heartfelt promises. We shared messages, posters, and helpline numbers to remind everyone that help is always available, and we encouraged open conversations to break the stigma around mental health. We also promised to listen without judgment, check in on loved ones, show kindness, and reach out for help when needed. Candles were lit and a moment of silence was observed to remember those we have lost, pledging together to create a world where no one feels alone. 💛

Today, we proudly conducted the Scout Investiture Ceremony for our Cheychey Scouts of Class PP. It was a joyful and memorable occasion as our young Scouts officially began their journey in Scouting.

The ceremony marked an important milestone for our little ones, introducing them to the values of discipline, friendship, teamwork, service, and responsibility. With excitement and pride, our Cheychey Scouts took their first step towards becoming responsible and caring members of their school and community.

We warmly welcome all our young Scouts to the Scouting family and wish them a wonderful journey filled with learning, fun, friendship, and adventure!
