“𝗠𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹” 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗵𝗮 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

“My Green School” (ངེའི་མཆོག་གྱུར་སློབ་གྲྭ།), a book authored by former education minister Thakur Singh Powdyel, was launched today in a Dzongkha translation at the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development in Thimphu.

The book, now translated into over 20 languages, aims to nurture readers intellectually, morally, spiritually, socially, culturally, aesthetically, academically, and environmentally, guided by the principles of Gross National Happiness.

The translated edition aims to make these ideas more accessible to Dzongkha readers. Currently, the book is being translated into Icelandic and Slovenian, bringing the total number of languages translated to 22, with many more translations underway.

The author said that he hopes the book will inspire schools to cultivate not only academic excellence but also compassionate, ethical, and responsible citizens guided by GNH.
