As part of the observance of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, (28th May), a special advocacy program was conducted at the Primary Block to create awareness among young girls and boys on menstrual hygiene, empathy, and respect. Today, our school proudly observed Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 under the theme “Red Dot Bhutan – Together for a Period-Friendly Bhutan.” The program was organized with the aim of promoting awareness, dignity, confidence, and a supportive environment for girls and women.

The observance began with an inspiring speech by Ngawang Jigme Rabten on behalf of the 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 during the morning assembly. The speech emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene awareness, breaking myths and stigma, and encouraging respect and understanding within the community.

To make the initiative more meaningful, parents and guardians were also invited to participate in the program. Their presence reflected our collective responsibility in creating awareness and openly discussing women’s health and menstrual hygiene.

A special awareness session was later conducted for young girls, providing them with guidance on menstruation, personal hygiene, and self-care in a safe and comfortable environment.

The program was jointly 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, guardians, teachers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event.
