On the auspicious 30th day of the Fourth Lunar Month, coinciding with the commencement of the month-long Ka-Thri Empowerment at Kunsel Phodrang, His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo Trulku Jigme Choedra graciously bestowed a sacred Sertog (Golden Pinnacle) upon His Eminence Khentrul Thokmeth Rinpoche for installation atop the Goenkhang of Paro Dongag Kunzang Choeling Monastery.
This precious offering was granted by His Holiness in recognition of His Eminence Khentrul Thokmeth Rinpoche’s unwavering dedication and contributions toward preserving, promoting, and upholding the Buddha Dharma. The sacred Golden Pinnacle is an immeasurable blessing and a profound source of merit, not only for the monastery and the people of Paro Ngoba Village, but also for all the people of Bhutan and future generations. It stands as a sacred symbol of the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma and the continuous blessings of the Triple Gem, bringing peace, merit, and spiritual well-being to all sentient beings.

His Eminence also made a generous offering of Nu. 10,000,000 ( one crore ) to His Holiness the Je Khenpo in support of the construction of a replica of the sacred Bodh Gaya Stupa in Gelephu Mindfulness City. In addition, His Eminence respectfully offered Ku, Sung, Thukten Mendrel and a cash offering of Nu. 300,000 to His Holiness. As an expression of devotion and generosity, His Eminence further sponsored a full day’s meal for all the devotees gathered to receive the sacred Ka-Thri Empowerment.

The spiritual bond between His Holiness and His Eminence is exceptionally profound and spans across lifetimes. In their previous incarnations, they were among the first distinguished Bhutanese Geshey—Geshey Pema Tshering and Geshey Rigzang—who, together with three other scholars, were sent to Tibet by His Majesty the First Druk Gyalpo to pursue advanced Buddhist studies.
After successfully completing their studies, they returned to Bhutan and devoted themselves to serving the nation and the Buddha Dharma under the reign of His Majesty the Second Druk Gyalpo, as the First Druk Gyalpo had already entered Parinirvana. This sacred connection, forged through shared learning, unwavering service, and dedication to the Dharma, continues to manifest in the deep respect, devotion, and spiritual friendship they hold for one another today. Their enduring relationship stands as an inspiring testament to the continuity of karmic aspirations and the unbroken blessings of the Buddha Dharma across lifetimes.

We feel deeply fortunate and blessed to receive such a sacred gift and blessing from His Holiness. This auspicious act is a source of inspiration and joy for devotees and benefactors alike, strengthening faith and devotion while bringing immense merit to all who encounter it.
With hearts filled with gratitude and devotion, we offer our sincerest prayers for the long life, good health, and continued enlightened activities of His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo for the benefit of all sentient beings. May this sacred blessing bring peace, harmony, prosperity, and spiritual realization throughout Bhutan and beyond. May the blessings of His Holiness continue to illuminate the path of Dharma and guide all beings toward wisdom, compassion, and ultimate liberation.
