During the morning work cycle, children aged 3โ€“4 years independently choose materials according to their interests and developmental needs. They work with concentration and repeat activities as desired. The teacher carefully observes each child and presents new exercises individually once the child has gained confidence and mastery with the previous materials.

Celebrating our Annual Sports Day on this auspicious May 2nd, marking the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Father of Modern Education in Bhutan, made the day even more meaningful. It was a reminder that learning goes beyond the classroom, and that sports play a vital role in shaping confidence, teamwork, and resilience in our young learners.

We were deeply honored to have Dasho Drangpoen Tenzin as our esteemed Chief Guest. His encouraging words and continued support for our children truly inspired us all, even as we carried on through the gentle drizzle.

The day was filled with energy, joy, and togetherness, making it yet another successful celebration. Our heartfelt thanks to all the children and their families for participating and for the love and kindness shared throughout the event.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ…

Today, senior students from grade IV-VI explored science beyond the classroom through hands-on experiments based on their interests, including volcano eruptions, hydroelectricity, magnetic force, and recycling projects. They took turns presenting their projects, and though it was a first-time experience for some, they demonstrated growing confidence while sharing their ideas and findings.

These meaningful experiments helped them connect theory with real-life applications while developing research skills, communication, and critical thinking. This learning approach promotes creativity, collaboration, and deeper understanding of science. Hereโ€™s a glimpse of their experiments. ๐ŸŒ‹๐ŸŒโ™ป๏ธ

This week, the school conducted an earthquake mock drill where students practiced โ€˜duck, cover, and holdโ€™. Junior students followed the seniorsโ€™ lead and safely evacuated to the designated area. The drill helps prepare them for unexpected situations, teaching them to stay calm and respond appropriately. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธโ›‘๏ธโœจ

Our junior outing to Kitchu and PCC Park during their annual trip was a wonderful blend of learning, exploration, and fun.

The students had the opportunity to discover new places, enjoy nature, and create lasting memories with their friends. From exploring the beauty of Kitchu to relaxing and playing together at ParoCC Park, the day was filled with laughter, curiosity, and meaningful experiences.

Moments like these remind us that learning goes beyond the classroom, thrives in shared adventures and joyful connections.

Since last month, our mornings begin with a 20minute reading session before the first period, where students alternate weekly between Dzongkha and English to strengthen their language skills.

Our junior students enjoyed a memorable field trip on Friday to Kyichu Lhakhang, where they received blessings, shared lunch at the park, and made the most of the pleasant weather with fun outdoor activities.

Students are also actively engaging in Clubs & Physical Education; hereโ€™s a glimpse of our Montessori learners practicing walking in straight lines, while Class II students build balance skills by walking with a book on their backs.

The YPS basketball teams had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the primary-level tournament organized by Paro Tigers from April 23โ€“29. Both the boysโ€™ and girlsโ€™ teams performed exceptionally well, reaching the semi-finals. The girlsโ€™ team went a step further, advancing to the finals and proudly securing the championship on the final day. โ›น๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‡โœจ

More than just the results, the tournament was a valuable experience where students embraced true sportsmanship, strengthened team spirit, showed determination, and built meaningful connections within the community.

The school faculty would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all parents for their constant encouragement and support throughout the tournament, as well as for providing refreshments during the games. A special appreciation goes to the parents of Namkhai Dolma, Tenzin Dolkar, and Keekar Dema for generously sponsoring dinner for the winning girlsโ€™ team and coaches. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated.

We also thank Paro Tigers for organizing such a wonderful tournament and providing a platform for young learners to grow through sports. Special thanks to the referees for exemplifying fairness and serving as role models.

Our sincere gratitude to Vice Principal Lopen Khenrab and Lungay for their continuous presence, support, and for ensuring the studentsโ€™ safety throughout the matches. It was indeed a meaningful and memorable end to the basketball season.

Happy Paro Tshechu to everyone la! ๐Ÿ’™
