Opening of Taktsang Academy (Formerly Utpal High School )

The new Management of Taktsang Academy is delighted to announce the formal reopening of the former Utpal Academy as Taktsang Academy from the 2026 academic year.

To mark this special beginning, we will celebrate the Official Launching Ceremony on 11th November 2025, coinciding with the 70th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Drukgyel Zhepa, Children’s Day, and the School Foundation Day.

The event will be held under the theme: 🎓 “Thank You Drukgyel Zhepa”

Taktsang Academy’s new management team is deeply committed to upholding high standards of quality education and promoting a nurturing learning environment. The school’s guiding philosophy and core theme will be:
