Pantang Primary School

primary school which is one of the remote schools in the kingdom.The school was first established in 1968 at Tekari (Mamung) under Fhangkhar geog with a teacher and six students.Mr.D. As time went by, the school got upgraded to class III. Later it was also provided with WFP facilities from
Japanese project co-coordinated by Dasho Nishoka. It was in the year 1983; this school got present location at Pantang under the same geog and named the school as Pantang primary school. By then yearly up gradation also took place where students even appeared public examination of class V. Now the school is full fledged community primary school with the enrollment of classes from PP-VI, with boarding facilities assisted by W.F.P. In 2003 school was nominated as one of the resource centre for lower Kheng schools. School was then supplied with enough facilities which includes, computer, photocopy machine, laminating machine, generator and other furniture. But it do not fulfill the aims of being so called as resource center, because
the generator is out of condition.
