Dasho Dzongda visited our school on 10th April and addressed students and staff with inspiring guidance. He emphasized hard work, academic excellence, and contributing to nation-building through education, entrepreneurship, or public service.
Dasho appreciated studentsโ interest in STEM and highlighted the importance of health, hygiene, and cleanliness. He also reminded students to respect their teachers.
Students were encouraged to offer prayers for the good health and long life of His Majesty the King, the Royal Family, and Chabjey Rinpoche, whose guidance and support ensure peace, stability, and progress in the nation.

Tshochen Primary School proudly celebrated the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fifth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, with great joy and devotion.
The celebration included offering of butter lamps, recitation of Zhabten, cake cutting, and vibrant cultural dances performed by our students. The occasion also marked National Anti-Corruption Day, where everyone pledged to say NO to corruption and uphold the values of honesty and integrity.

Tshochen Primary School is deeply honored to have participated in the 4th batch of volunteers at Gelephu Mindfulness City. Commencing on 23 December, a total of eight volunteers from TPS, comprising three teaching staff and five supporting staff, successfully completed this national initiative in service to Tsa-Wa-Sum.
The school takes great pride in being part of this novel and meaningful initiative, which reflects its strong commitment to national service, civic responsibility, and community engagement.

We are truly honored and delighted to welcome our Principal Chief Dzongkhag Education Officer (PDEO) Sir Rinchey Rinchey for an insightful visit focused on the School Performance Management System (SPMS) monitoring. His presence is not only a tremendous support but also a source of invaluable guidance and inspiration for our entire school community.
During his comprehensive visit, PDEO sir shared profound insights and encouragement across multiple facets of SPMS implementation. His guidance covered critical areas including goal setting, performance tracking, enhancing teacher effectiveness, fostering leadership accountability, and strengthening school management practices. His emphasis on data-driven decision-making and continuous professional development has empowered us to better align our efforts with national educational standards and improve student outcomes.
His constructive feedback and thoughtful recommendations have inspired us to adopt more rigorous monitoring mechanisms and cultivate a culture of excellence and accountability.

Honโble Dasho Kelzang Lhundup, Member of Parliament for Lhuentse Dzongkhag in the National Council of Bhutan, visited today afternoon at Tshochen Primary School. He shared valuable insights that inspired the students.
He addressed the importance of students being aware of crimes that can negatively affect their lives, including bullying, theft, molestation, violence, drugs, and alcohol.
He also explained the role of the National Council, their deliberations, and the bills they pass. Policy changes were shared with the teachers as well.
We sincerely thank Dasho for taking the time to visit us and share such important knowledge. His guidance and support are truly appreciated and will surely motivate our students and staff towards positive growth.

Tshochen Primary School proudly observed Reading Week from 8th to 12th September with a variety of exciting activities. The week was kick-started on Monday by awarding certificates to the August Monthly Test toppers who scored 80% and above.
Monday: Book Talk and summaries by teachers
Tuesday: Rhyme Singing Competition (Classes PP to IIII) and Poem Recitation Competition (Classes IV to VI)
Wednesday: Book Talks by students and Reading Picnic
Thursday: Book Swap event
Friday: Book Summary Writing and Gallery Walk
The week was thoroughly planned and filled with fun and learning. Our students enjoyed every activity and actively participated with enthusiasm, all with the aim to enhance the reading culture in our school.
