A biological superpower should never be treated like a social curse.

Periods aren’t men’s business. They are woman’s issue, right ?
NO, YOU ARE WRONG
Men also have mothers, sisters, partners, female colleagues or women in your lives who are close to your hearts. And that’s precisely why it is important to create a world in which everyone truly feels accepted and supported. Men and boys must be included in the conversation about menstrual health and hygiene, so that stigma can be reduced and understanding can grow.
By learning to handle and wrap pads, boys and men transform from bystanders into advocates for reproductive health. Our gents staffs have shown their support by donating pads to our girls.
GUDCS is pleased to welcome Mr. Tshering Gyeltshen, the RENEW Case Officer of Haa, to raise awareness about the services provided by the RENEW Center located in Bali, Haa. Thank you for the refreshments and the donation of sanitary pads to our girls.

We are deeply touched by the thoughtful gesture shown by two of our 2025 Class XII Science B students, Shikar Limbu and Kinley Tshering, who visited the school today to serve momo and samosa to all teachers and staff as an expression of their gratitude and respect.
Both students have successfully secured admission to CST — Shikar Limbu in Architecture and Kinley Tshering in Civil Engineering. Their accomplishments certainly add pride and honour to our school; however, the humility, gratitude, and respect they continue to demonstrate stand even taller than their academic achievements.
Moments such as these remind us that true success is not measured only by academic excellence, but also by the goodness of one’s character and humanity. We are immensely proud of both of them — not only for their achievements, but for growing into fine young individuals with values that inspire.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation and wish them continued success, happiness, and fulfillment in all their future endeavours.

Tashi Delek! And Congratulations! to the Top Three Best Teachers of Gongzim Ugyen Dorji Central School for the academic year 2025: Mrs. Wangmo (ZLT), 1st; Mr. Kinley Sithup (ZLT), 2nd; and Mr. Jigme Wangchuk (Mathematics), 3rd.
Since 2020, teachers have been rated annually through a student feedback survey using a 4 (minimum) to 15 (maximum) point scale. The assessment covers three key areas: subject teaching, classroom and general discipline management, and student care and support services. After observing strong consistency in the results over the years, the certificate award system was officially introduced during Teachers’ Day celebrations in 2023. Awards for the top rated teachers of the academic years 2020, 2021, and 2022 were also presented concurrently in 2023.
For the 2020 and 2021 surveys, feedback was collected from nine selected students per class (representing high, average, and low performers). From 2022 onward, the survey has included all students from the respective classes.
Notably, Mrs. Wangmo and Mr. Kinley Sithup have secured positions among the top three every year since the feedback system was introduced. Several other teachers have also achieved top rankings and consistently remained within the top quartile of the teacher group—an inspiring reflection of dedication and excellence.
Teachers’ Day 2026 was celebrated yesterday, 2nd May, with heartfelt tributes to His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo, the Late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, and the offering of Zhabten to His Majesty The King.
The day’s programme was beautifully organized by the students of Class XI Science A and student leaders under the guidance of their class teacher, Mr. Sonam Tshering.
