The 8-day Digital Skilling Training at our Gewog has successfully commenced today with enthusiastic participation from across all villages. This important initiative is funded by the GovTech Agency and conducted by the Kunjung Institute of Technology and Innovation (KITI), Gelephu.

We are encouraged to see a good number of participants, reflecting the growing interest in digital knowledge and skills. In today’s world, modern technology is no longer a luxury—it has become a necessity for progress and development.

The Gewog Administration would like to extend our sincere gratitude to GovTech and KITI for bringing this timely and valuable program to our community. We wish all participants a productive learning experience ahead.

This initiative aims to strengthen the digital capabilities of our workforce, equipping employees with essential skills for today’s rapidly evolving digital workplace. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn the Global Digital Literacy (IC3) Certificate, an internationally recognized credential that supports both professional growth and organizational development. 🎓

Digital Skilling Training for Professional Development: Building Better Future

28 Employees of Penden Cement participates in Digital Skilling Training sponsored by the GovTech Agency and implemented by the Kunjung Institute of Technology and Innovation under GMC.

The program covers Computer Fundamentals, Cyber security, National Digital Identity, Collaboration Tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom), Digital Marketing, and Generative AI with practical, sector-specific applications.

Specialized modules are also tailored for wholesale, retail, and manufacturing sectors, including e-commerce, CRM, ERP, IoT-based monitoring, AI applications, and relevant e-Services.

Upon successful completion of 8 days training, participants will receive a globally recognized IC3 Digital Literacy Certificate along with a Course Completion Certificate.

The Bhutan Digital Skilling Training Program, conducted by Kunjung Institute of Technology and Innovation (KITI), Gelephu in collaboration with the GovTech Agency, is designed to equip citizens with essential digital skills to actively participate in Bhutan’s digital transformation.

Training Details Duration: 8 Days (1- 10 batch)

Training Starts from: 21st January 2026.

a) First Batch Start date: Batch 1: 21 - 30 January 2026.
b) Last Batch End date: Batch 10: 23 March - 1 April 2026.

Target Participants
- Employed individuals
- Civil servants (aged 35–49 years)
- Unemployed youth (aged 18+ years)
- Monastic bodies (1% quota) ---

Training Locations (20 Dzongkhags)

Training Facilities Provided
- Morning & evening tea/snacks
- Working lunch ---
Critical Information
- Participants who attended the Digital Skilling Program between April – September 2025 are NOT eligible.
