REPORT ON LT SCOUTS MOTIVATIONAL and RECREATIONAL TRIP to Pangbang

Good morning,
Respected teachers and my dear friends.

I feel truly honored and grateful to share my experience from our recent Motivational and Recreational trip to Panbang.

Our journey began on a Thursday morning when all the Sarpang Leadership Scouts, along with our Scout Masters, gathered and traveled to Panbang via the Nganglam route. Upon reaching there, we practiced a traditional dance and later performed it as part of a program, which made the day even more joyful and lively.

The next morning started with an energetic aerobic session, followed by a visit to Sonam Choeling Lhakhang. We went there to pray for the success and safety of our entire trip. The lhakhang, though small, was very beautiful and peaceful. It holds an important history and stands proudly as a spiritual place. Praying there with faith and respect felt like a true blessing, and I felt very fortunate to visit such a sacred place.

One of the most exciting parts of the trip was rafting on the Manas River. Before we began, we were given safety instructions and divided into teams and groups, with seven members in each boat. At first, we were scared because it was our first time, but as we moved along the river, our fear slowly turned into excitement. We laughed, cheered, and even had fun water fights. Jumping into the river was one of the most thrilling moments. The experience taught us teamwork and helped us build confidence. It was refreshing and unforgettable.

We were also lucky to visit the Royal Manas National Park, which is usually restricted for visitors. Seeing the animals up close was an amazing experience. They looked healthy and well cared for. The most memorable moment for me was seeing the famous baby elephant that I had only seen in the media before. It made me very happy.

Before the safari, we also enjoyed a volleyball competition, which brought out teamwork and sportsmanship among us. We visited the beautiful twin waterfalls known as Laylay Changchangma and also learned from ecologists about nature and conservation.

The safari adventure was one of the highlights of the trip. It was my first time experiencing a safari, and I saw many animals such as elephants, peacocks, water buffalo, and even a rhinoceros. Being so close to these wild animals made me feel amazed and grateful. There were moments of excitement and also moments of fear, especially when we encountered an unhappy elephant. However, the thrill and joy of the safari were greater than the fear. This experience also taught me the importance of protecting wildlife and their natural habitats, especially for the future of eco-tourism in Bhutan.

Another special moment was our visit to Zala Ku Lhakhang. Although it was a last-minute plan, it turned out to be a true blessing. We learned about the mysterious and important history of Zala Ku, which is believed to have communicated with the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. Listening to the lama share these stories was very meaningful and interesting.

We also had an educational visit to Dungsam Cement Limited. It was fascinating to see the large machines and understand how cement is produced. Walking through the factory and hearing the explanations gave us real-life learning beyond the classroom.

Finally, our trip ended with a joyful morning dance before we safely returned home.

In conclusion, this trip was a perfect combination of learning, adventure, and spirituality. The memories we created and the lessons we learned will stay with me forever. I am truly thankful to the DSA and our teachers for organizing such a wonderful opportunity for us leadership scouts.

Thank you, and Happy Scouting!
