National Earthquake Mock drill Day

Norbuling Central School observed National Earthquake Mock Drill Day 2026 on 21 September 2026 under the theme “Resilience Starts at Home: Prepare Today, Stay Safe Tomorrow.”

The mock drill was conducted in both day and night sessions. Staff practised the “Drop, Cover and Hold” safety procedure, followed by evacuation to the designated assembly areas.

The drill also focused on assigned roles, coordination, and emergency preparedness.
The mock drill was successfully conducted and helped strengthen the school’s earthquake preparedness and response.

Youth Sensitization Programme (07/09/26)

"Securing tomorrow by empowering youth today"

The Deputy Chief of Police (DCOP), Colonel Passang Dorji, Crime and Operations Division, Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), conducted a half-day Youth Sensitization Programme at Norbuling Central School on 7th September, 2026.

The programme was attended by all the students from classes 7 to 12 from 9:30 AM till 2 PM along with the Teaching, non-teaching staff and businessmen from the community. Other attendees were the Chief Dzongkhag Education Officer, and Mangmi of Serzhong gewog.

The Principal of the school welcomed the Deputy Chief of Police and the team, and staff from the RENEW.

As the Deputy Chief of Police Colonel Passang Dorji took over the stage, Dasho's presentation focused on key psychological, social, and legal challenges faced by the youths of today.

Dasho highlighted the following topics:
1. Substance abuse and its consequences
2. Penal offences and legal awareness
3. Cybercrime and online safety
4. Bullying and ragging
5. Sexual harassment and related risks
6. Unwanted pregnancy and its implications
7. Youth exploitation and protection
8. Reducing the stigma surrounding the reporting of sexual harassment and protecting minors from abuse, and many more citing examples happened in our society.

The programme was filled with so much fun and life lessons as Dasho's presentation brought fresh vibes with laughter and seriousness. Our students have fully enjoyed the programme and learnt a lot from the session.

Thus, the school administration would like to thank and appreciate the Royal Bhutan Police for conducting such initiatives which will definitely benefit our youths and contribute to creating a safer society.

Mr. DB Pradhan, one of the former teachers of this School has generously donated 6 copies of different titled books by bhutanese to our school library today. Although he left this School for higher studies a few years ago, he hasn't forgotten the children left behind in the school.

School Annual Variety Show (Night 02)

The final night show was yet another one of the successful big events as the School Annual Variety Show was graced by the Principal of Serzhong Primary School, teachers from the two sister schools Chuzargang and Serzhong Primary Schools, Mangmi of Serzhong gewog, Lopoens and monks from Pemaling School of Astrology, and other guests and publics from the community.

Discovering the huge support from the parents and public, our students are motivated and energized to further improve their talents and committed to preserve and promote the unique culture and tradition of our country.

The school administration would like to thank each and every individual who has showered us with immense support and enthusiasm. Sincere heartfelt gratitude to the Royal Bhutan Police and Traffic personnel who have maintained the two nights safe and secure. We expect the same support from everyone in the near future as well. Together we can groom our children through the right track.

Annual Primary School Sports Carnival

The Annual Primary School Sports Carnival was held today successfully, bringing together students, and teachers for a day centered on physical fitness, teamwork, and engagement for a weekend.
The primary goal of the event was maximum participation, ensuring every child had the opportunity to compete and contribute to their school points.
The event was graced by the Mangmi of Serzhong gewog. The participating schools are Norbuling Central School, Chuzagang Primary School Chuzargang Primary School, and Serzhong Primary School, Sarpang Serzhong Primary School. The Principals, teachers and SSIs from the three schools witnessed and engaged in the program throughout.
After compiling the points, Serzhong Primary School stood as the CHAMPION 🏆🏆🏆 followed by Norbuling Central School and Chuzargang Primary School as the RUNNERS UP.
As a token of appreciation and motivation, cash prizes were awarded to the team captain and es**rt SSI and teachers.

The sports carnival concluded safely and with high spirits. Thus, the Host school administration would like to thank the Dzongkhag Education Sector for the financial support provided every year, the respective School Sports Instructors for the before hand practice and preparation, and all the students who took part and made the day worthwhile.

While others rest on weekends, You all gained a lot today.

School Annual Variety Show (Night 01)

The much awaited school annual variety show was graced by the Mangmi of Serzhong gewog today.
Other distinguished guests also attended the show along with parents and publics.

The program was a stage turned into a celebration of young talents. With graceful performances, lively music, and confident expressions, our students shared their creativity and dedication with the audience. It was more than a concert—it was a collection of moments that will be remembered with pride and joy as a teacher and parents ourselves.

The first night was full of cheers, laughter and appreciation for the 3 hour long show. Yet, the show must go on.

A VICTORY, AN ACHIEVEMENT
Norbuling Central School fraternity is proud and pleased to have won more than expected Certificates during the Dzongkhag School Sports Meet 2026 held at two venues i.e Sarpang MSS and Sarpang HSS from 27th to 30th August, 2026.

The Es**rt Teacher expressed words of appreciation to the entire teams for displaying discipline, cooperation and moral support to each other during the matches. Then the Es**rt Teacher congratulated the WINNERS and handed over the Certificates and cash prizes to the winning participants and the teams on the morning of Driglam Day (Monday). The Certificate awarding ceremony was conducted in presence of the Vice Principal.

The school has managed to win as follows:
