Renovated Hostels Handed Over to Students

Following the successful completion of the sectional handover of the hostel building, the renovated hostels were officially handed over to the students by the Principal and esteemed stakeholders.

This milestone marks more than just the completion of a renovation project—it reflects our shared commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and conducive living environment for our learners. The improved facilities will support students in their academic journey, personal growth, and overall well-being.

🌿 Taking Aesthetics Beyond the Classroom 🌿

As part of the celebration of National Environment Day, all students and staff of Bjishong Central School participated in a mass cleaning campaign during the Aesthetic period today.

The cleaning activity extended beyond the school campus to nearby areas, including JDNP surroundings and Damji Village, demonstrating that aesthetics and environmental responsibility are best expressed through action.

The Bjishong Administration would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Mr. Dorji Phub, Social Area Coordinator and GLOBE Focal Person, for successfully organizing and coordinating this meaningful event.

Scout Investiture Ceremony for Grade PP Students at Bjishong CS

Under the coordination of Mr. Dorji Phub, Bjishong Central School successfully conducted the Scout Investiture Ceremony for Grade PP students, marking a meaningful milestone in their journey as young scouts.

The programme was made more joyful with a cake-cutting ceremony, adding a special touch of celebration and excitement for the young learners. The event aimed to instill the values of discipline, teamwork, and responsibility among the students as they take their first steps in scouting.

It was a memorable and inspiring day for both students and teachers alike.

Launch of “Voice of Green Kingdom” on the Occasion of National Environment Day

Coinciding with the occasion, and under the coordination of Mr. Dorji Phub, the book titled “Voice of Green Kingdom” was launched. The book is a collection of poems and writings by students to mark National Environment Day and as a tribute to Our Great Fourth.

Today, under the coordination of Mr. Dorji Phub, Social Area Coordinator, the Bjishong Central School family proudly celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Her Majesty Azhi Jetsun Pema Wangchuck, alongside National Environment Day.

The programme commenced with the offering of butter lamps, followed by cake cutting and an inspiring address by the Principal to mark the auspicious occasion. Staff and students joined together in expressing gratitude and heartfelt wishes for Her Majesty's good health, happiness, and long life.

The celebration also highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, encouraging everyone to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

The Inter-Troop Senior Girls and Boys Volleyball Match is currently underway, showcasing excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit among all participants. The event has been progressing successfully over the week-long schedule, with exciting matches and active participation from all teams.

The programme is being smoothly coordinated under the dedicated leadership of Mr. Leki Tshewang, SSI, whose efforts and guidance continue to play a vital role in the effective organization of the event.

The Bjishong Central School family extends heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Leki Tshewang for his commitment, hard work, and excellent coordination in making this ongoing sporting event meaningful and well-managed.

🌱 Bjishong Central School Celebrates Social Forestry Day 2026 🌱

Today, the Bjishong Central School family proudly celebrated Social Forestry Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and community spirit.

The program began with the offering of butter lamps and Druk Gyal Zhipa Zhabtoen, followed by a keynote address from our Principal. We were honored to have Mr. Kinley Tshering from Jigme Dorji National Park (JDNP) as our guest speaker, who shared valuable insights on environmental conservation and the importance of protecting our natural resources.

As part of the celebration, cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the Poem Composition Competition, recognizing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position holders from Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

A highlight of the day was the plantation of temperate fruit trees by park officials, school staff, students, and Kidu recipients, symbolizing our shared commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.

The Bjishong CS family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Jigme Dorji National Park (JDNP) for their continuous support and partnership in making important school events meaningful and successful.
