The collaborative celebration of His Majesty the Great Fourth's Birth Anniversary on November 11, 2025, by Arekha Primary School and Sinchula Primary School demonstrated an effective multi-tiered partnership model. This initiative successfully combined the National Commission for Women and Children's financial support with Sinchula PS's operational leadership and Arekha PS's active participation. Through its carefully designed program of cultural performances, competitive games, and student art displays, the event promoted comprehensive student development while strengthening institutional relationships. The distinguished presence of both the Gewog Thrizin and NCWC representatives further enhanced the occasion's significance, creating meaningful connections between local governance structures and national-level organizations through direct community engagement.

Arekha Primary School observed Global Handwashing Day with great enthusiasm to promote the importance of proper hand hygiene. Students and teachers actively participated in demonstrations and awareness activities highlighting the correct steps of handwashing to prevent diseases and maintain good health. The event encouraged everyone to make handwashing a regular habit, ensuring a cleaner and healthier school environment for all.

Arekha Primary School students showcased their enthusiasm and talent by actively participating in the Sports Carnival held at Darla Higher Secondary School. The event provided a wonderful platform for our young learners to demonstrate their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in various activities. Such experiences not only help in building confidence but also nurture discipline, cooperation, and a spirit of healthy competition among students. Today, our school successfully conducted an earthquake mock drill to create awareness and ensure preparedness among students and staff. The drill helped everyone understand the right steps to follow during an earthquake, such as “Drop, Cover, and Hold.” Students actively participated and learned the importance of staying calm and safe. Such drills build confidence and readiness, ensuring the safety of our school community in times of natural disasters.

On the 5th day of National Reading Week, students actively engaged in picture description activities. They observed images closely, expressed their ideas creatively, and built meaningful stories. This activity enhanced their imagination, vocabulary, and speaking skills while making learning more enjoyable. Truly a wonderful way to celebrate reading week!

The 4th day of National Reading Week at Arekha Primary School was celebrated with an exciting Word Split Game. Students actively participated, enhancing their vocabulary, spelling, and teamwork. The activity not only boosted their confidence but also made learning fun and engaging, fostering a deeper love for reading and words.

Madam Goma Devi Sunar conducted a
professional development program on mindfulness and meditation for teachers to enhance well-being and focus. The session emphasized relaxation, self-awareness, and stress management strategies to promote a healthy work environment. Such practices will help educators nurture positivity and balance, benefiting both teachers and students.
