Global Handwashing Day 15-10-2025

Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School observed Global Handwashing Day to promote the importance of proper hand hygiene in maintaining good health and preventing diseases. The program featured a health guest speaker from Tsimalakha Hospital, who delivered an informative talk on the significance of regular handwashing with soap and clean water.

During the session, the speaker also highlighted the topic of lead exposure, explaining that lead is a toxic element used in various products such as paints, batteries, and plumbing materials. Students were made aware of the harmful effects of lead on health, especially in children, and were encouraged to adopt safe hygiene and environmental practices to reduce exposure.

The event concluded with a demonstration on correct handwashing steps and a pledge by students to maintain personal hygiene for a healthier community.

Carnival Day 2025 at Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School

On October 4, 2025, Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School came alive with excitement and laughter as it hosted its much-awaited Carnival Day 2025, bringing together students, teachers, and guests from neighboring schools for a day of joy, unity, and celebration.

The event commenced with the National Anthem and Zhabten prayers for His Majesty’s long life. The Sports Committee Coordinator, Miss Leki Tamang, delivered a warm welcome speech, highlighting the carnival’s role in fostering teamwork, friendship, and holistic development among students. The Chief Guest, Chief DEO of Chhukha, inspired the students to maintain a balance between academic excellence and extracurricular activities to nurture all-round growth.

The celebration was officially inaugurated with the lighting of the Olympic torch by Dasho, followed by an energetic aerobic dance performance by the students that set a vibrant tone for the day. The grounds buzzed with enthusiasm as students participated in a variety of fun-filled games and competitions, such as Treasure Island, obstacle races, and other exciting challenges that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Adding more color to the event, students and guests enjoyed face painting, turning into lively and cheerful characters, while the Home Science Club served tasty homemade delicacies that delighted everyone. A joyful photo booth gave participants a chance to capture and cherish the day’s memorable moments with friends and teachers.

The highlight of the day was the Certificate Awarding Ceremony, where the efforts and achievements of winners and participants were recognized and celebrated. Applause and cheers filled the air, reflecting the spirit of joy, pride, and unity that defined the entire event.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing deep appreciation to all the coordinators, teachers, and volunteers whose dedication and teamwork made the event a success.

As the day drew to a close, everyone gathered for a hearty lunch, sharing delicious food and friendly conversations. The warm and lively atmosphere fostered a true sense of community and togetherness. As the afternoon sun gently bathed the school in golden light, Carnival Day 2025 ended on a high note—filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Learning Fair 2025

Tsimalakha MSS proudly organized the Learning Fair 2025, a vibrant platform for students to showcase their academic creativity, skills, and knowledge. The fair highlighted diverse works ranging from language portfolios, journals, projects, models, experiments, and exhibitions to engaging displays of students’ talents and learning journeys.

The program was graced by our honorable Chief Guest, Police Dasho from Tashigatshel, along with the Principal of Tsimasham PS, the Principal of Tashigatshel PS, supportive teachers, and many parents. Their presence added great encouragement and inspiration to the occasion.

As the guests and teachers explored the exhibits, students confidently presented their work, answered questions, and demonstrated the spirit of curiosity and learning that defines our school community.

During the break, a cultural dance performance was presented by students, adding a lively and traditional flavor to the event.

The event concluded with words of appreciation and recognition for the dedication, teamwork, and effort put in by students and teachers alike. The day came to a cheerful close with a lunch program shared among the guests, staff, and students.

The Learning Fair 2025 not only celebrated student achievements but also laid the foundation for lifelong learning, innovation, and collaboration.
