Sand play in early years education is a meaningful and versatile learning experience that supports children’s holistic development. Through hands-on exploration, children develop creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills while engaging with different textures and materials. Sand play also helps strengthen fine motor skills, coordination, and sensory awareness in a fun and natural way.

At Gedu ECCD, sand play is used as an important part of early learning, providing children with joyful opportunities to explore, discover, and learn through active play.

Nature-based play is very important for children’s development as it encourages curiosity, exploration, and a sense of wonder about the natural world. When children spend time outdoors, they learn to observe their surroundings closely, ask questions, and make discoveries through hands-on experiences. This type of play supports their physical development by promoting movement and coordination, while also enhancing their thinking skills through problem-solving and exploration. In addition, nature play helps children build emotional well-being by reducing stress and creating a calm, enjoyable learning environment. Overall, engaging with nature supports the holistic development of children, including their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

The 1st Term CMC Meeting 2026 was successfully conducted with the active participation and cooperation of all members. Important discussions were carried out regarding the overall development of the centre, parents’ involvement, challenges faced, and the successes achieved during the term. The meeting provided a valuable platform for sharing ideas, suggestions, and responsibilities for the betterment of the ECCD centre and children’s learning environment.

All the CMC members agreed and supported the agendas discussed during the meeting.
The programme also included a warm recognition and welcome for the new members who joined the CMC team for 2026. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all parents and CMC members for their continuous support, commitment, and dedication towards the growth and success of the centre.
