✨Annual Gewog Tshechu 2026 – Getana Gewog ✨
We are delighted to share glimpses from the vibrant and spiritually enriching Annual Gewog Tshechu held at Getana Gewog from 26th to 28th March 2026.
The Tshechu brought together our community in celebration of our rich cultural heritage, with sacred mask dances, traditional performances, and heartfelt participation from people of all ages. It was a moment of unity, devotion, and joy, strengthening the bonds within our Gewog.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Gewog Lam, all the performers, monks, and community members whose dedication and support made this event a great success.

📌 Inauguration of Farm Road Construction
The Getana Gewog Administration is pleased to inform the general public that the construction of farm roads in two chiwogs, Phutsa to Khamead and Chiyuel to Dueluwa, was officially inaugurated today.
The project is expected to benefit 28 households in Chiyuel and 30 households in Phutsa, improving access to farmlands and easing transportation of agricultural produce. It will also support the cultivation of approximately 50 acres in Chiyuel and 45 acres in Phutsa.
The Gewog Administration extends heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders and community members for their continued support and cooperation.

📌 Official Visit and Public Audience Program
The Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Council of Bhutan, His Excellency Dasho Sangay Dorji, visited Getana Gewog and granted an audience to the public from all five chiwogs of the Gewog.
During the visit, His Excellency shared and briefed the community on the key resolutions and deliberations of the 36th Session of the National Council, highlighting important national issues and developments for public awareness.
The Gewog Administration would like to express our sincere gratitude to His Excellency for taking time to visit Getana Gewog and for his valuable interaction with the community🙏

📢 Official Congratulations!
The Getana Gewog Administration is pleased to congratulate Mr. Nima, the newly elected Tashigang Tshogpa following the recent Bye-election.
Today, 26th day of the 10th month of the Bhutanese calendar, we marked this important occasion with the traditional offering of a Tashi khadar, symbolising our best wishes and goodwill.

A successful plumbing training was conducted for selected community members from 12th to 15th July 2025, organized by the Tarayana Foundation in collaboration with the Joints Together Society (JTS) project. The training aimed to equip participants with practical skills in water source management and household distribution systems to promote long-term sustainability and self-reliance.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Tarayana Foundation for this important initiative. Such capacity-building programs are instrumental in empowering local communities and will greatly benefit rural households in ensuring proper upkeep of water systems in the years to come.
