What an incredible way to welcome our Bulldogs back to school! 🎉📚

The Samuel Guy Pinder All-Age School came alive with excitement, energy, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of school pride as students, staff, parents, and members of our school community gathered for our Back to School Bash!

✨ Our theme says it all:
“Restoring School Pride. Inspiring Excellence. Building the Future Together.”

Our students were excitedly welcomed back, ready to begin another year of learning, growth, and achievement. The event was not only about having fun—it was an opportunity to celebrate who we are, recognize how far we have come, and inspire our students to reach even greater heights.

We proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements and accomplishments of our students and our school—from successes locally, at the district level, and on the national stage. These accomplishments remind us that our Bulldogs have the talent, determination, and potential to do great things!

The Bash strengthened our sense of belonging and reminded us that we are more than a school—we are a family and a team. The excitement, enthusiasm, and Bulldog pride were truly contagious!

🎉📚 CONGRATULATIONS, MR. MAIO TINKER! 🇧🇸🇨🇦

The Samuel Guy Pinder All-Age School proudly congratulates Mr. Maio Tinker, who was one of five educators selected for the Lyford Cay Foundations Mathematics Educator Grant to attend the 2026 Summer Conference for Computer Studies and Mathematics Educators at the University of Waterloo in Canada! 👏🏾🎓

Mr. Tinker recently travelled to Canada to participate in this prestigious professional development opportunity, made possible through the generous support of the Lyford Cay Foundations Mathematics Educators Grant.

This conference provided an invaluable opportunity to learn, collaborate, exchange ideas, explore innovative teaching strategies, and strengthen the skills needed to inspire the mathematicians and problem-solvers of tomorrow. 💻➗📐

We are extremely proud of Mr. Tinker for being selected for this distinguished opportunity and for his continued commitment to professional growth, educational excellence, and the success of our students.

Teacher Appreciation: Mario Tinker 📚

Meet Mario Tinker of Samuel Guy Pinder All-Age School in Eleuthera, one of five educators selected for the Lyford Cay Foundations Mathematics Educator Grant to attend the 2026 Summer Conference for Computer Studies and Mathematics Educators at the University of Waterloo.

Teaching in a Family Island setting, Mario brings a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the Mathematics classroom. His approach connects problem-based learning, assessment practices and real-world relevance to help students develop a stronger relationship with Mathematics.

His vision extends well beyond his own classroom. Mario hopes to share his learning through professional development seminars and workshops, while contributing to curriculum development, national pilot initiatives and, ultimately, policy advocacy for Mathematics education in The Bahamas.

We are proud to invest in educators like Mario who are committed to turning professional learning into meaningful, lasting impact for students, schools and communities.

🎉 DAY 2 TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION — WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY! 🎉

Day 2 of the Samuel Guy Pinder All-Age School Teachers’ Orientation was truly uplifting, inspiring, energetic, and transformative! 💙💛

🙏🏽 The day began by giving thanks, honour, and glory to God, recognizing Him as the source of our strength, wisdom, and purpose as educators.

🤝🏽 Teamwork took center stage! Our teachers participated in an exciting, engaging, and spirited Team Building Activity, creating laughter, strengthening relationships, building trust, and reminding us that together, we are stronger!

🎤 A powerful and thought-provoking message was delivered by our guest speaker, Minister Agnes Bethel of Trinity City Of Praise. She reminded our teachers that they are Nation Builders and that the work they do reaches far beyond the classroom.

Her message was clear and compelling:
✨ Never give up on a child, no matter what.
✨ Keep believing.
✨ Be strong and confident.
✨ Press forward and trust God.
✨ Remember that a teacher can change a child’s life forever.

These powerful words served as a timely reminder of the incredible responsibility, influence, and impact that educators have in shaping the future.

📚 Principal Andrea McSweeney continued to challenge and inspire the staff with the school’s vision of “Restoring School Pride, Inspiring Excellence, Building The Future Together.” We will revolutionize the education system.

As we continue preparing for a new school year, the energy is high, the vision is clear, and the commitment is stronger than ever!
