❤️ FAITH. GENEROSITY. GIVING BACK. ❤️
On Friday, July 17, 2026, the SAC Alumni Association proudly awarded more than $35,000 in scholarships, tuition assistance, and academic awards to deserving St. Augustine's College students. It was a day filled with hope, gratitude, and lives being changed.
This year's presentation was especially meaningful.
In support of St. Augustine's College's 80th Anniversary Celebrations, the SAC Alumni Association made the decision to forgo its 2025 Lighthouse Awards & Gala Ball, our primary scholarship fundraiser. Entering 2026, our Scholarship Fund had no proceeds.
Instead of giving up, we stepped out on faith.
The Executive Committee appealed to graduating classes from 1965 to the present to contribute at least $1,000 to the SAC Alumni Scholarship Fund. We also reached out to alumni and friends of SAC.
You answered the call!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to the graduating classes that made this year's SAC Alumni Scholarship presentation possible:

We also extend sincere appreciation to our generous private donors, including the Jennifer Johnson Memorial Scholarship, James Clarke Scholarship, Hanna Holdings, and every alumnus and friend who donated amounts ranging from $5 to $5,000. Your support directly transforms students' lives, making you a vital part of their success and inspiring continued giving.
A special thank you goes to Douglas Hanna, whose generosity made a tremendous impact. Through the Hanna Holdings Engineering Scholarship, he awarded Tinae Barry a $5,000 Scholarship and presented her with a 13-inch Apple MacBook to support her university studies. Mr. Hanna also donated 13-inch Apple MacBooks to four additional graduating SAC students pursuing engineering degrees, ensuring they begin university equipped for success.
As President, I shared something personal with our students and parents. I attended St. Augustine's College on a payment plan, and years later, my son also attended SAC on a payment plan. This shared experience reminds us all of the sacrifices families make to give their children a better future.
Life happens. Illness, unemployment, death, and unexpected hardships can place enormous financial strain on families. Sometimes all a parent needs is a helping hand.
Seeing the tears of relief and gratitude in parents' eyes reminded us why we do this. As a community, we are making a meaningful difference in our students' lives, and your ongoing support keeps us united in purpose.
To every graduating class, alumnus, sponsor, donor, and friend—THANK YOU! Because of your generosity, deserving students will continue their education and pursue their dreams. We invite you to keep supporting SAC so more students can experience this transformative journey.
To our scholarship recipients, remember this moment. When you are blessed with the opportunity, give back. Someone believed in you and invested in your future. Your support can help another student achieve their dreams someday.
SAC Alumni, we did it! ❤️
Together, we proved that when the SAC family unites, there is no challenge too great and no student left behind.
We still need more funding, please donate directly to SAC Alumni Association or directly to St. Augustines College.
The Lord is Our Light. 🔴⚪
