LCIS was thrilled to welcome newly appointed United States Ambassador Herschel Walker to meet with our leadership team and tour both our campuses last week. Ambassador Walker was greeted by Grade 2 and Grade 5 and had the opportunity to meet student leaders and teachers.

Congratulations to Dhechaz Gibson, who won the 2026 Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Competition on Saturday 23 May, out of more than 120 participants from across the country!
Of the achievement, Dhechaz said, "Over the past three years, I have embraced many new opportunities to grow, learn new things, discover and develop my passions and make a positive difference in many lives. This has been an exciting experience that I will remember for the rest of my life! It reminds me that commitment, respect, kindness, hard work and good character are still valued today. If I believe in myself, I can do anything!"

Our Dragon swimmers were in action earlier this month at the 2026 World School Swim Championships in London! We are incredibly proud of their representation at this global event, where 550 swimmers from 38 schools across 21 countries competed at the iconic London Aquatic Centre, former 2012 Olympic Games venue. It was a fantastic experience for our students, coaches, and parents who attended.
Individual highlights included:
Luke Ferguson: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Top 10 finishes
Violeta Saralegui: 2 Gold, 3 Silver, LCIS high scorer
