Calling all 10th grade students…The Nursing Cadet Program is here for you!

Whether or not you always wanted to be a Registered Nurse or you want to satisfy a new interest in nursing, this program is for you. Scan the QR code on the flyer to apply, and submit your application materials by Friday. Sept 11th. Please keep in mind that the BJC requirement is 5 subjects (Math, Language, Science + any other 2) with a grade of C or above.

As we recognize Su***de Prevention Week, the loudest message we want to share is that “Your Life Matters”. For anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts, we want you to know that you are seen, you are not alone, and we care about you.

Let us pledge to listen and support one another because a little kindness goes a long way. Pay attention to those around you and ask questions when you notice that they are struggling and can’t seem to figure things out. Don’t be afraid to tell a trusted adult that can help. Su***de is preventable. There is hope.

🐍 Cobra Nation is proud to celebrate and congratulate our fellow Cobra, Ms. Bertrenique Williams! 🎉

Ms. Williams is one of five outstanding educators selected for the Lyford Cay Foundation Mathematics Educator Grant, which will allow her to attend the 2026 Summer Conference for Computer Studies and Mathematics Educators at the University of Waterloo.

This is an incredible achievement and a wonderful opportunity to grow, learn, and bring innovative practices back to our students and school community.

Back to school and back to Cobra Country! 💙🐍
As our students returned to campus, we were pleased to welcome DDE Curry, who joined us yesterday to greet our Grade 10 students and returned again today to welcome our returning Cobras.
Although our administrators were away today, our students settled in, the day continued smoothly, and the positive spirit of C.C. Sweeting remained strong.
All was well in Cobra Country as we welcomed our students back for another school year! 📚✨

A special thank you to all of our amazing presenters who shared their knowledge, expertise, and inspiration with us throughout the week. Our Cobras have been reset, refueled, and recharged and ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the new academic year!

We also celebrated our team with special tokens of appreciation as a small gesture of gratitude for their dedication and commitment. 💙
