Our long distance student-athletes represented Spartan pride at the JA Bahamas Alumni Fun Run/Walk this morning at Montagu Beach — and they came home with hardware! 🥇🥈🥉

🏆 SPARTAN STUDENT ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT 🏆 VARON PINDER | U17 SOPHOMORE (GRADE 10) U17 MALE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE YEAR 2026

We are thrilled to celebrate Varon Pinder as our U17 Male Student Athlete of the Year at Noble Preparatory Academy!

This season, Varon showcased his incredible talent by winning gold in the 400m at the U18 BAAA Junior and Senior National Championships with a personal best of 48.04 seconds. He also claimed the 400m title at the U17 BTC Bahamas Frank “Pancho” Rahming All Schools Championships and played a pivotal role in Team Bahamas' success by earning a silver medal in the 4x400m relay at the 2026 CARIFTA Games in Grenada.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Varon maintains an impressive 3.5 GPA, exemplifying the balance of academic excellence and athletic prowess that we strive for at NPA.

From President Geno Bullard: “Varon embodies the essence of the 4 D’s — Dream, Dedication, Discipline, and Determination. We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and the way he represents himself as a student, an athlete, and a young man.”

A heartfelt thank you to his parents for raising such an exceptional individual, and to all the coaches and teachers who have supported Varon in reaching these milestones. Your encouragement is invaluable.

Looking Ahead: Varon is scheduled to compete in the NACAC U18 and U23 Athletics Championships from July 10-12, 2026. Let’s cheer him on and wish him all the best as he takes on this exciting challenge!

We are incredibly proud of our talented student athletes who showcased their skills at the BAAA Junior and Senior Championships held from June 19th to 21st, 2026! Their hard work and dedication truly shone through, and we couldn't be more excited to highlight their achievements!

🏅 Under 18 Boys:

Varon Pinder: 400m Champion! 🎉
Dario Butterfield: Silver medalist in both the 800m and 1500m! 🥈
Jeremiah Gibson: Finalist in the 100m and 200m!
Glenroy Stuart: Finalist in the 100m!

🏅 Under 18 Girls:

Britanya Knowles (U15): Competing in the U18 girls 100m, she reached the top 9 finals, and in the 200m, she was a top 6 finalist! 🌟
