Covid-19, aka the coronavirus health emergency has officially been declared a pandemic by the WHO. Please prepare and be wise. Here's what you can do:
Wash your hands often with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick and Stay home if you’re sick.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow and throw used tissues in the trash.
Wear a facemask if you are sick. If you are NOT sick: You do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.
Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
If surfaces are dirty, clean them: Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.

The Central Bank of The Bahamas is pleased to introduce its Professionals Summer Programme (JPSP).
The Junior Professionals Summer Programme provides opportunities for Bahamian students in their final year of college or university to participate in an intensive summer internship in various departments of the Bank, where students will participate in departments daily operation and be mentored.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for JPSP, students must:
📚be entering their final year of college or university;
📚have a grade point average of 3.5 or above;
📚be presently enrolled in a programme of study related to a technical area in financial sector
📚 submit a writing sample on a topic identified by the Central Bank of The Bahamas; and
📚 be willing to participate in an interview hosted by the Central Bank.

Central Bank of The Bahamas is now accepting applications for summer employment.
The Bank provides the opportunity for high school and college students to gain exposure to the various aspects of central banking.
Each year students participate in a summer employment programme that is divided into two six-week sessions (June 1 – July 10 & July 13 – August 21).
All candidates are encouraged to submit all resumes through the web portal for consideration as the Bank will not be accepting hard copies.

📚A resume outlining objectives (College students must state degree type and area of study.
📚College students must also identify which year of college they are entering e.g. Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior)
