This week the Energy Academy students learnt about energy storage. They made hydrogen using both wind and solar and ran the stored hydrogen through a fuel cell to create a constant supply of electricity. As a result of inclement weather, the students also learnt about on of the major drawbacks of using renewable energy- the inability to control the supply of the natural resource.

To reinforce last week's lesson on wind energy, Mr. Miguel Swann of BPL shared with the students some of his experiences while working on wind turbines in Canada. The students were able to garner a better understanding of the career opportunities in the renewable energy field.
